Small and stays pretty accurate
I accidently bought this a few years ago… then last week my wife and child brought home a tarantula that I was not prepared for. We bought 2 other pads, but all got to hot or specifically said only for glass. I pulled this out of my reptile box and love it so much we are buying another. I can put it right under the plastic container and not worry about it cooking the spider. It small enough to not take up a lot of space on the shelf with the jumping spiders. It stays pretty consistent…depending on the temperature flux in your home. Our house stays at 70 during the day and 65 at night, I set it for 80 during the day and it drops to about 75 at night… so I think it holds temp pretty well. No numbers on the knob I thought would suck at 1st…but then it made sense if your house is as cool as ours. We used a white highlighter to mark 80, but with have to remark it during the summer months when the house is warmer.

Reliable reptile heater at a very reasonable price
I am using it for a leopard gecko to provide nighttime belly warmth from under the tank and have gotten a thermometer reading of approximately 95 degrees on average. No problems with rapid heat up or gradual cool down and I prefer no adhesive so I can easily adjust its placement if needed. Also a big plus that itâs water resistant just in case. The only drawback is that the temperature control does not have minimum to maximum temperatures listed around the dial. Otherwise, Iâve had no issues with it or its functionality so I give it two thumbs up.

Works, but wish it was more accurate
The heat works and it is keeping my ants happy, but the accuracy of the dial is questionable.

Produces minimal heat
The problem is that there is no way to adhere it to the enclosure. In addition, there is a tab that stands out enough so that it elevates the tank and no heat is transmitted. If you avoid the tab the protrudes, much of the heat simply dissipates. The price was very reasonable and it has a on/off switch. It is useful and worth the price.

I give it 1 star.
The heating pad works but the heat is not even I checked it several times just to be sure and I would definitely use a thermostat with it. I also noticed it makes a static sound that I dont trust. It was cheap so you get what you pay for.

Great! Nice item
Good item, nice size, durable and looks solid. Does not come with adhesive, but I prefer that bc the adhesive on other mats just don’t work. I used 3M command strips to hold up on corners and no issues. Doesn’t heat up too much, which is good for under the tank use, but I was hoping from other reviews that high settings was good enough for side tank heating. Still going to try it out and see. Gecko seems happy though! Much better than the 2w the petstore sold me during adoption.

as long as you’re aware of the small size, it works Surprisingly well, needs marks on the dial tho, but I have paint.

Good heat control; produce a lot of heat for small pads – worked well for me.

I have the 15W 8.66″ x 9.84″ model. I use this to heat my Sea Monkeys Ocean-Zoo tank, since they’re too small for traditional aquarium heaters. I’ve been using it for 8 weeks so far, and it’s been doing a pretty decent job. There are no markings on the temperature dial to indicate how far you’ve turned it up, so I had to paint some arrows on; minor inconvenience, nothing serious. It was packed in a little plastic baggie, and arrived with an odd crease in the middle of it that had me a little concerned, but so far that doesn’t seem to be a problem. There’s about an inch or so near the end of the mat where the cord is attached that doesn’t really get very hot, but the rest of it seems pretty consistent. If anyone’s looking to get these for Sea Monkeys, the model size I have could probably fit 4 Ocean-Zoo tanks on it no problem. Does the job, I do recommend.
