Excellent Product
WeatherTech has always made excellent quality products, and this ramp was no exception. I bought it as my dog is aging and needs to avoid high-impact jumps. The ramp is very sturdy and extremely easy to assemble/disassemble; you can easily do it in one movement once you get the hang of it. Another positive aspect is that you can assemble/disassemble with gloves (and snow gloves) on; there’s no switch to operate or handle to latch). Make sure, however, that your fingers are properly placed in the space made for your hand. If it closes inadvertently (e.g. due to high wind gusts) and your hand is not in the right place, you’ll feel it (believe me). The ramp has edges on the sides that prevent your dog from falling. In addition, it really holds 300 lbs. I’m 130lbs and my dog is 90lbs, and it held both of us without problem when we first tried it.

Better Ramp
Pros: sturdy and well made, non slip surface, easy to open, nice gradual incline for my aging dog, reasonable price for something that should last for years.Cons: the ramp was heavier than expected. No lock to keep the 2 halves together when folded.

Great for big dogs you canât lift
I bought this for the back of my Subaru Forrester for my 110 dog and my 75lb dog. It takes some practice for them to walk up ther but they caught on in no time! This is really sturdy, nice rubber surface they can climb up and it was a great purchase!

meets my need to support my english mastiff
The ramp is as described and arrived quickly. The tread material seems to work very well to keep my dog from slipping (although we haven’t tried it in the rain yet). It folds and unfolds quite easily and securely fastens to the vehicle bumper for a sturdy ramp. The only thing that could make it better is if it was a bit wider. My mastiff has feet that seem go everywhere when he runs up the ramp. I feel like I really need to watch/guide him every time. I would recommend to others if you’re considering a pet ramp.

Sturdy & easy to use
Our 50 lb dog is suffering from IVDD and can no longer manage stairs. We have a small number of stairs leading from the side of our front porch to the sidewalk, where we’ve set up the WeatherTech ramp. Within a short period of time, our girl learned how to use the ramp, and she’s been using it since. She has not used the ramp to climb into a vehicle yet, so I can’t speak to that. But for dogs who struggle to climb stairs, the ramp works perfect. Because it’s constructed from a heavy-duty plastic, it should withstand the elements, should it ever rain again here in Southern CA.

You And Your Dogs Will Love This!
This dog ramp is a life saver. And a back saver! It was becoming more and more difficult to lift my 105-pound female Rottweiler up into the cargo area of my car (a Subaru Crosstrek XV). This dog ramp resolved that problem almost immediately. It took my dog only about five minutes to learn to walk up the ramp and walk back down. No stress at all. This product is ideal for senior dogs, dogs that may have suffered an injury, and dogs that might be a bit overweight. The ramp’s rubber feet hold the ramp securely in place on the car’s bumper. There are no hooks on this ramp that might damage your car’s finish. And when folded, it fits into the cargo area of my car with room to spare. There are two things that some people might not like so much about this dog ramp. It is *not* a light weight product. It actually feels heavier than it looks. It’s also slightly awkward to unfold and fold back up. The other thing is the built-in carrying handles. They aren’t really “handles”…they’re just cut outs in the sides of the ramp…kinda like those cut outs you see on some shipping cartons. They’re a bit uncomfortable to use.But any negatives do not outweigh the benefits of this dog ramp. I wish I’d bought it years ago. If this one ever wears out, I’d buy another one. If maybe age or injury has weakened you or your dog, this is a product you do not want to be without. It’s a quality product, made in the USA by Americans. I give it a Five-Star rating!

Older dogs get to enjoy more car rides
Very well made, simple to assemble, leave yourself plenty of room to set up when you are looking for parking. Donât try to use âjust part of itâ (my mistake) because it will be too steep. It is exactly the right elevation and pitch, has rubber grip treads. Now this will be unfamiliar to your pup, so please please do as suggested in the instructions and let your dog walk on a section of ramp on a flat surface over several training sessions (and maybe elevate to a low couch or a step to get them used to the idea. Always supervise when in use!! Donât just leave it up! Our dog has some vision issues and canât always see the edge. Try treats before ever using to get him/her into the car. Then, on go day (and every time) Get a firm short grip on your best friendâs leash or collar/harness, and block the open side of ramp with your body while you guide your pup along and up it (always with your body alongside to close that gap) so he/she doesnât scramble and fall off, and then be injured or become distrustful of using it. Always do this, because your best friend will be excited to get into the car and will try to hurry, and that would be awful if they forget their infirmity and go sideways. Trust me on this. We made this mistake and we felt awful when this happened and our dog was bruised for over a week because we didnât introduce him to it first. Save your back with this ramp. It is heavy duty, great for getting our 14-yr old mix into the truck for more car rides.

Sturdy Ramp
We purchased this ramp when we learned our dog needed surgery and couldnât do stairs for 2 weeks. This ramp is very sturdy and was really helpful to have over the steps from our garage into our house. We took baby steps in acclimating our dog to the ramp prior to surgery, and she took to it really well. I recommend that for a smooth transition when you need to use the ramp!

My Malamute weighs 85lbs. She is over 12 now and becoming very stiff. She enjoys car rides and visiting my sons and family on the farm but for the past few months has had difficult jumping in and out of the back seat of my SUV.She needed a little coaxing to use the ramp the first couple of times but now steps painlessly up into the vehicle. The ramp is sturdy. The way it folds lets it stow nicely between the front and back seat. It is fairly heavy but not unmanageable. I am female, late 60s.

We need to teach our old dog how to use this ramp. : )

I am 73 and can lift this in and out of the car to set up. Folds up easily, not flimsy, good surface for the dogs to walk up, not slippery at all. Highly recommend. More expensive than some, but worth the extra cost. Have used it for over a year in all weather and it was easy to train the dogs…you start on a lower slant and as soon as they approach you give a treat, they touch with a paw, treat, gradually lure with treat and my dogs learned what to do in about 10 mins!

Easy to train dog to use. Easy to fold and unfold in car. Stable but lightweight. Well made.

Well made ramp but wish it had a carry handle as it is quite awkward & heavy for a smaller, older person to handle. 10 year old GSD, 95 pounds learned to use it quickly & it is very sturdy, easily cleaned, & good surface for traction. It is about 18 pounds which does make for the sturdiness but awkward to open & place for travel storage especially since it has just side openings for your hand to fit for carrying & no lock to keep it folded. It does fit nicely in the back door of a 2008 F150 super cab & has good rubber grips to place on ground & floor of truck so it does not slide. Overall I do recommend this ramp for big to average people & dogs but be prepared for the weight of it if you are a small or older person.
