FEEDING ADULT DOGS:
Glucosamine and Chondroitin are unique ingredients that work together to support joint health. This formula can be fed to any adult dog, and is beneficial for active and performance dogs, as well as larger breeds that may be susceptible to joint issues later in life. It is generally recommended to start feeding large breeds a glucosamine and chondroitin fortified food early in life (between 1 and 2 years) and continue feeding long term for most effective results.
TIPS ON TRANSITIONING TO VICTOR:
When changing from a different food to any VICTOR dog food formula, transition your dog to VICTOR over the course of one week to 10 days, gradually increasing the amount of VICTOR every few days.

Affordable and healthy for my dog
My dog Ollie chows down and I feel good about that. It is the best dog food at this price point.

Healthy brand
The vet recommended this brand for our dog when she was a pup. We us d Victor Professional (purple bag) until this last 8 months when we switched to this type because our 82 lb lab was gaining some weight and getting older. I wanted to stay with Victor brand food because it has healthier ingredients and leaves her coat shiny and soft. For a good brand dog food, the cost is also very reasonable. I am of the kind that we need to take care of our pets like we take care of ourselves!!

super dog food!
Another update: Rosy has kept the extra weight off still another year later. Her coat is beautiful, her stool is always consistent, she is doing fantastic!! This has gone up $10 the past year but it is for sure worth it!Update one year later: Rosy is still at the perfect weight after a year! She has lots of energy, a super shiny coat and is doing fantastic!I am very blessed to have a black lab guide dog from OccuPaws in Madison Wisconsin because I am blind. Little miss Rosy and I gained a few pounds during this crazy pandemic due to lack of us being able to get out. I put her on the senior formula of Victor and she has lost 7 pounds. She loves the food, I am very happy with it! You know if a guide dog school recommends it, it has to be good! Rosy is 60 pounds and I feed her 3/4 cups twice a day with a few treats in between. Very happy with this food and would recommend to anyone!!!! Now if they just had a formula for me it would be super!! 🙂

Great for weight control
We have always purchased high-quality dog food, but recently our dogs have put on a few extra pounds we switched. The dogs are happy and are trimming down.

Did NOT do my dogs any favors
My GSD and Collie (both 8 years) have always been given high quality kibble, but itâs expensive. After reading decent reviews about Victor, I thought weâd try it – and get a few more pounds of kibble for a few less bucks. Neither dog is overweight, but theyâre both a bit less active now, so I thought this would be a good choice for keeping their weight at a healthy level. They seem to really like it, but both constantly act as if theyâre starving, even after doubling the amount, and both have lost a significant amount of weight. In addition, I know switching kibble can take a little time for the digestive system to get used to the change, but both dogs are still having major diarrhea after 3 weeks. Iâm done torturing my dogs and am switching back to their previous kibble. Saving some money is not worth compromising their health.
