Because I only use this pad while sitting, I cut off the belt. Now I love it. Very easy to use after figuring out the instructions. I move it from one part of my body to another when it shuts itself off. Really helpful for muscle tightness and skin issues.

An honest review
The product works as advertised, but in my case I obviously have a different problem than the product was designed to alleviate.Their customer service was friendly and helpful.

Worked good for 2 months. Then it died on me
As stated in the headline, this red light therapy belt by UTK lasted me 2 months. It seemed to work pretty good while it lasted, I would use it for at least an hour or so a day, just on all different aches and pains in my body (back, joints arms etc.) Last night it died on me unexpectedly; the light still lights up when it’s plugged in, but the bulbs must have died out. For 120 dollars, that is WAY too expensive for a 2 month rental. I will avoid this company/seller in the future.Just as a general matter, it seems like the quality of Amazon items (such as it is/ ever was) has gone way downhill the past couple of years. I’ve been returning stuff more often than not (assuming I’m still in the return window, which I was not for this item). The seller I purchased from had the Amazon fulfillment pledge; I am unsure if the seller is an official UTK partner/rep. Part of this is on me as a seller, I should have done more due diligence. In addition to doing more research, I believe I will start buying directly from company websites, if this is the quality I can expect from Amazon.

I had not used red light therapy previously, but I picked this up for my wife to try on her hip. Studies seemed to suggest it was safe, so I figured there was very little risk (at worst it seemed it wouldn’t help). Ironically I ran into a little sports-related injury myself, and I decided to give it a try. I really think it has helped. The injury was healing a bit slower than I was hoping, but when I started using this it seemed to move things along quite quickly.My wife has tried using it a couple times, and she believes she can notice a difference as well. We also may be getting some use out of this for my son, as he is seeing a functional neurologist, and they recommend low-light therapy to reduce inflammation. They stated their lights were likely stronger than this device provides, but they were all for using it. I suspect it may get more use than I ever imagined.The only reason I removed a star is trying to switch between the different functions is a bit confusing. We’re amateurs, so we’ve taken to just pushing the button and taking what it gives us, but when we tried to switch between the different light options and the pulse feature, we found it to be confusing. I’m not sure why they had to make it so one button controlled everything the way it does.That said, the belt itself is large and the fabric is quite comfortable…and again, I think it really works so I would recommend this product.
