Hanson has been great to deal with, So, to start the whole thing off, My brand new puppy ate the small pig tail cord the plugs into the wall, I got in touch with Hanson and he explained that he could not just sell me the pig tail. He will send me a new dog bed. I feel bad that I could not just buy the cord but Hanson made me feel so good telling me he would send another bed out to me for free. That’s a company and individual who stands behind their product. Pet Dependant but it Works Fine
As with anything bed related for our pets, the first thing we did was wash everything we could. It came mostly assembled, but we took it apart and reassembled, after everything was clean. This was fairly self explanatory which was good because the instructions were received with the item must have been for an older model, as they did not match the configuration of this version. We see from other reviews that this seems to have changed since, but at the time it was a little frustrating. Nothing seemed to have shrunk in the wash, and all of the seams were still secure, so we put it al back together and plugged it in. The color demarcations for the temperature setting is different from in the description online. Ours has red, blue, and green, and to be honest I don’t feel much difference between the three. I wish there was a timer option, or automatic cutoff, particularly since it comes with a warning not to use unattended. We have used this in a few different ways and configurations, and sometimes it is annoying to have to remember to go turn it of before we leave, or to realize we left it on all night when we did not intend to, particularly when we have it at a place where the button is not easy to get to.I am not totally sure if the animals can tell when it is on or not. When they find it warm, they seem to enjoy it, but they do not seek it out. Very often if it is in a room that already had another bed they have been using, they will still curl up in that one, or if they have a spot in the sun available they will still prefer to curl up on the floor. So it may just be the pet preference. But there have been times they have curled up when it was off, and I try to turn it on and they leave because I was “disturbing them.” Pets can be weird.Other reviews have mentioned it not being warm enough, and perhaps there is something to that. I imagine it works based on reflective heat as well, so just reaching over to touch may not be the best indicator, and I wouldn’t want to overheat my animals. Of course we also insist on using a cover over it because, without any details of the construction and materials, which we always wish more pet and household items were required to provide, we do not fully trust the filling and want to give another barrier by using a cover or a blanket. This may diminish the warmth some as well, but as I said, I don’t feel much difference in the three settings regardless. We have found our uses for it, but it just has not become a favorite spot in our house.

Worked great for three months. Then heating element stopped working. Tried different outlets. Tried everything. Called Amazon to report defective product. They said there is a one year warranty on the product. But — OF COURSE — there is no way to file a warranty claim.DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT UNLESS YOU WANT TO MAKE A DONATION OF $129 TO THE SELLERAMAZON FULFILLED THE ORDER — BUT CLAIMS THEY HAVE NO OBLIGATION TO REPLACE A DEFECTIVE ITEM WITH A SUPPOSED WARRANTY !

This bed didn’t seem to get noticeably warm when I first received it. Then when we put it in our dog house it kept shutting off and wouldn’t work by 2nd day!
