    Does the job!
This rear harness is quick and easy to use, as long as you use it correctly. You must lift the dog’s rear straight up. If the dog gets ahead of you, he can walk right out of it.

Helpful for my small senior dog
It’s not perfect but it works. I bought the xs for my 16yr old 9.5 lb pomachon. It’s a little big but I’m able to work with it and she will tolerate the straps around her little legs which is helpful because she can no longer balance when she tries to go potty. I’ve been able to use this for walks instead of her regular chest harness and it’s working well for that. When we go out in the backyard I just use a towel and I also bought a nice strap from Amazon that goes under her belly for support.Pros – this back leg harness is great for her walk and allows her to do her business without falling overCons – straps are a bit rigid – straps are adjustable but the foam is not adjustable- it’s a little too big for my size dog

    Did not work
My little 17 lb dog just recently was diagnosed with IVDD and has lost function in his rear legs. I was hoping this would help lift him to go to the bathroom. It was awkward to lift him and he screamed as if in pain. Later I found a little bruise on the inside of one of his hind leg. Turned out he screamed because it pinched him or rubbed him the wrong way. Not quite sure how it did that, but not willing to try again. Only tried it the one time with one attempted lift and it hurt him. Maybe it works better if the dog has more mobility in the hind legs, like the video shows, but my dog currently has no mobility in his hind legs and this device ended up being of no use to him.

    This is perfect!
My elderly boy has DM (degenerative myelopathy) which causes him to gradually lose control of his hind quarters. He wears a front end lifting harness and a male diaper. I was able to use the lifting end of the strap to secure it to his front harness, so I can leave it on when he sleeps. Also there’s room to change his diaper under the rear lifting strap.

Easy to use but doesn’t stay on
I can lift my large dog’s back end very nicely, and it seems comfortable enough for him, but the product can easily slip off. I use it to get him in my car because he has a hard time using his back leg muscles to jump in. While in the car, it will slip off, so if I needed to use it to get him out of the car, I would have a hard time getting it back on. Luckily, he can exit the car unassisted. This product is less complicated to use than some of the rear harness systems which have several straps to adjust and can be confusing to get on the dog. I like the simplicity of it, but I wish there was a way to make it stay on the dog while in the car.

    Useless for us
Not really useful at all. I have a 60 lb female boxer with degenerative nerve issues. This product slips on easily up the hind legs but is not well designed for large dogs. The straps are not designed well and get in the way of the dogs ability to urinate and defecate. You would do just as well as putting a looped belt around the abdomen of your dog just looping a long leash around him/her. Doesn’t give any advantage for stairs, up or down.

    Great little harness
This really helped me out with my crippled Boston Terrier. He could no longer use his hind legs and this harness was easier to use for quick potty breaks than his wheelchair. The price is great, too!

Worked great and keeps my back from hurting
My 19lbs Cavalier has a partial cruciate rupture and at 16 and a half needed support as her arthritis in hips and other knee wouldn’t support her. I tried using a towel but bending over hurt my back. The leash is long enough to hold or loop around my hand and stand straight. The leg cushions her under her hips and isn’t so big so stays clean. The harness is comfortable for her to squat with support.
