Twist and Lick SimPill Pill Hider Treat for Dogs, Peanut Butter Flavor (Up to 65 Treatments)

It seems odd at first but it works!
My dog loves peanut butter but coating his pills in it was getting messy. Decided to give this a try. It definitely looks like a deodorant stick, which felt odd at first. I was skeptical that it would hide a large capsule-style pill but it works really well. My senior dog has no problem licking his daily pill right off the top of the stick. This is super easy to use and is much cheaper than peanut butter pill pockets.

It Works!
To be honest, I had serious doubts that our dogs (ranging in size from Chihuahua to Staffordshire Terrier) would even touch this stuff. We normally have to grind up their nasty smelling flea pills into a powder and mix it with wet food once a month. I tried this pill hider this month and 7 of 8 dogs loved it and took their pills without even noticing. (Of course, there had to be 1 holdout, but close enough.) I am pleasantly surprised how well this worked.

One Big No Go
Expensive, unpleasant smell, and our baby will not entertain consuming. She was put off instantly by the smell. I still placed some in her mouth to ensure she did not want it, upon actual tasting. Item is not returnable, also.

Messy but effective
We have two large senior dogs that have become very picky about taking medications in the past few months. We’ve been trying many kinds of products and this has actually been one of the most successful so far. We definitely use more than the instructions indicate, so the pills are fully covered, but so far it has been 100% successful. I will push the flavored goo up, fully cover the pill and then swipe it all off with my finger, and feed it to our dogs that way. It’s a lot easier to wash my hands than to try to keep the deodorant type dispenser clean with them licking it. It doesn’t last long for two dogs with multiple medications twice a day, but at least they are getting the meds they need now so we’re grateful for that.
