Top notch
The only issue with this product is that my dog will require me to buy this for the rest of her life. She started refusing to eat when I ran out of this bottle. I tried a few other brands and once I broke down and bought this again, only then was she really happy with her food again. I noticed she stopped licking her paws after starting this. I recommend, she recommends it way more.

Strong flavor
It’s not for every cat, 2 of my 3 cats are not bothered but my one older very picky cat must have the smallest amount added otherwise she will not eat her food.Coats are healthier

great stuff on top of dry kibble
I have glucosamine vitamins that I give to my senior gals (black Lab & english cocker) as well, and in addition to this fish oil over their food for their Omegas, I feel like I’m being the best dog mom I can possibly be to my two beloved Golden Girls. They LOVE the taste of this stuff (stinky for me, as fish oil goes), and I use it to wet their dry kibble which they eat voraciously. Love this stuff. Shiny coats and well-oiled joints in this household!

A very useful item
This fish oil is great and has worked wonders for my pitbul! I do wish there was an actual pump for it, but the lid works just as well. I personally give this to my pitbul for his skin especially right now with how hot it is getting outside. I put it on his food and he eats it right up no problem!

My dogs will eat it, but my cats will not
In an effort to eliminate my cats’ dandruff, I have tried numerous fish/salmon oil supplements, only to have the kitties turn up their noses at their food once I mix in the drops. Unfortunately, this Trace Pet Omega 3 supplement is no exception. If I mix the recommended amount (1 mL for pets under 20 lbs) into 1.5 oz of canned cat food for each cat, they all skip their meal. Luckily, my dogs are far less picky so this won’t go to waste; I just drip it onto their kibble and they don’t even seem to notice! The supplement has a strong fish odor. The consistency is very thin/liquidy (like water). The fact that this product is made in the USA gives me some peace of mind regarding its safety for my pets. My dogs have not shown any signs of digestive distress or other negative side effects since I started giving this to them.It is most unfortunate that this product does not come with a way to measure out the dosage (like a dropper or cap with volume markings), so you have to provide the measuring spoon/cup.

Meh
My cats didn’t like the fish oil at all. I had to really dilute (use a lot less) to blend it with the cat food.

6 out of 6 of my cats hated this fish oil
This stuff smells pretty bad. I know fish oil is usually stinky, but this strong. I was immediately turned off upon opening it, but I realize most cats think differently about strong fishy smells. Apparently my cats agreed with me since they all turned their noses up at it. So I put some on the food of the one cat who’s currently taking fish oil happily with her food daily. She wouldn’t touch it.I know the wonders of fish oil and how good it is for our animals, but it doesn’t do them any good if they refuse to eat it. 6 out of 6 cats in my house think it’s gross. The bottle is small and the price is high, no value for me when they refuse to eat it.
