I will do anything to ensure the health and wellbeing of my dog.
I have one of these for myself, so why shouldn’t my dog? Our climate is extremely hot and humid. The summers are almost intolerable, but my dog still needs exercise. He’s a golden retriever, so pretty much everything makes him happy (new toys, new places, new people, new scarfs) and I have no way to test this, but he seems comfortable with it. Dogs sweat through their paws and cool down by panting. It seems to help with that, but they also pant when they’re excited. He’s not panting MORE, so at worst he looks pretty snappy wearing it. If it ever looks like it’s causing him to heat up, I’ll remove it immediately, probably repurpose it for myself, and update this review. As of now, I will recommend it, because it does no harm and may do good. Do remember to wet it down before you put it on your dog, or yourself, for that matter.

Looks cute but too thin
I would use this if I am taking my dog somewhere and he needs to be cool and look cute, but it is too thin and hangs down so that it is not really cooling his whole neck. It is easy to keep tied once you figure out how tight to tie it, you can just leave it tied for ease of use. I found one at petco years ago that is 4 inches thick all the way around and that one works great and cools the whole neck and uses Velcro to stay on, however everyone thinks it is a neck brace and says âawww, poor babyâ. So I was trying to find something that looked less like a medical device on my dog. This one works ok, but not great. Something is better than nothing though on long, warm walks.

I like it but it is a but small.
This its a really cool idea, an actual cooling collar for those hot days when walking my dog. I was really stoked to receive this. The material is the kind of dry-fit you might find with other types of things like work-out shirts.Like? The idea! This does hold water so I do think it is useful on a hot day. I love the color and overall design.Dislikes? The only thing that is a disappointment is the size. I have a larger dog, and this barely fits him. I think it should be made clearr that this is a size dependent item. If you have a larger dog, this may not fit as it is 12×12!I truly hope this is made larger to a 14 x 14 size! Then this would be a solid 5 star item!I am giving this 4 stars as if you have a smaller dog this is a great item!. If you have a larger dog, let;’s hope the maker will make a larger size please.

Tiny
Way way too small. I know the size is in the description, but I don’t know what size dog this fits. Teacup yorkie? Not my 7 lb chihuahua (if he ever needed to be cooled) and certainly not the 75lb lab I actually bought it for. Oops.

worked well
it cooled down the dog and looked nice. pay attention to sizing to ensure it will tie easily on your pup’s neck or collar.

Find other methods to help cool your pooch’s heals
It gets hot in Texas. I always feel so bad for my pooch, because on any given summer day, you will find him panting away, unwilling to move because he is practically melting. I have a similar cooling bandana that I wear at work when I get flushed and overheated. But no matter how well I tied this bandana on my dog, I couldn’t keep it on him. It always fell off, and I tried everything. It just didn’t really seem to do the job the way it should have. Perhaps some larger breeds might keep it on better? But for us, it just wasn’t practical.

Good bandana for dog
The Good:-Good size, fits our 80 pound greyhound-Keeps him cool-Easy to launderThe Bad:-NoneThe Bottom Line:We use this Terrain bandana for our 80 pound greyhound and it works well. It keeps our dog cooler when we wet it and put it on him. I’m not sure how I could test the cooling technology since the dog can’t really talk. The bandana is easy to launder and overall, I would recommend if you live in a hot area.

Retains moisture very well, can come off if not tie properly
I do love the material of this bandana and it does exactly as it is advertised. Once I let it soak for a minute in water, it is quite noticeable home much water this fabric has absorbed. This was super useful during the summertime on the hot afternoons when the sun was beaming down. I tested this on my husky who really appreciated having something help cool off his fur. While this offer no interference with the dog collar or leash, I did notice that I will slowly want to unravel and unfasten if not snuggled properly. I think incorporating some kind of adjustable magnet or button could help take care of any unwanted slipping off of the bandana. Other than that, my energetic fur friend would bite at it, but never managed to tear through the fabric, which impressed me considering my husky has some chompers and a history of tearing things apart.
