I received it a few days ago. I felt the heat in 30 seconds, as advertised, because it gives an initial heat burst to warm up quickly then it goes to the heat setting 1-6 as selected. The 2 hour auto shut off is the default when you turn it on but you can select constant on. This is the small heating pad 11.5″ X 11.5″. The straps are elastic fabric and sized for wrapping an elbow, knee or thigh ideally. The two straps are each 16″ long and stretch comfortably to 20″, and can be further stretched to 29″ uncomfortably and Velcro won’t hold then. The size of the straps and pad together can wrap a circumference of up to 32″ comfortably. The pad is made of a 100% polyester soft breathable fabric. The inward side has a short fury texture. The outward side is a tighter fabric and the only side the Velcro straps will attach to. The pad can be disconnected from the cord and washed.

It’s the size I want
Things I like: quality is good. Size is good. Heat is good. Time choices for me are good (2 hours or stays on).Things I would change: make buttons quite. No little red light. Controller seems is oriented wrong way on the wire for me. Heat setting reverts to 1 after use, I would have it stay the same until you changed it. These are things I can live with bc I can’t find small heating pads in this price range with my needs anymore. They’re all 12×24.

NO HEAT!!!
**** update. Contacted company 3 days ago and they wont return my message! Will seriously consider never buying from them again. No customer support ****can get more heat sitting in the sun. This doesn’t heat at all. Have it on the highest possible setting. I expected great things as my other Sunbeam products are amazing. I wanted this due to a should/forearm issue and needed something that would wrap around my arm and stay in place. This is the one I found that had straps to hold it. It is going back but I have to contact the manufacture first per Amazon’s site when I tried to return. Not a happy customer. So now my arm is in pain and the product doesn’t work.

Great way to get uniform heat to specific areas
when our mother came home from the hospital she had a large hematoma in her upper arm adjacent to her arm pit. our physician said to use a heating pad to help it go away. however due to the location a standard heating pad just didn’t work out.neither myself or her hospice nurse had ever seen let alone heard of a wrap-able heating pad. thankfully though we found this one. it is very comfortable for her. the material used on the outside is like a soft velour. the velcro straps hold well enough not too hard to remove and not so loose as to come off. the digital control unit is simple to use. either set to on or set to on for 2 hours via the ‘mode’ button. the multiple heat settings are large bright and easy to read off the display. heat goes from slightly warm to hot.for our needs this was perfect. after using it for a couple of weeks the hematoma is now entirely gone. i have absolutely nothing negative to say about this pad and am very thankful to have found it for her.

Gone are the days of our mothers old school heating pads!!It doesn’t hold any heat. It will heat up very fast as promised, but then it stays barely lukewarm. If you’re looking for consistent heat, don’t bother…. This one is a waste of money! Returned!!
