My cats LOVE this food
So I have 4 indoor kitties. They had been on prescription food which was $$$$ and they ate it sometimes. So I was checking this food out and it was comparable but had more natural ingredients. My kitties LOVE this food! On top of that, they are more healthy. Their coats are so shiny and soft, and they havenât been throwing up fur balls, which had been a common occurrence especially since two of my cats have long fur.As far as the smell of the food, itâs cat food so, I mean, it doesnât smell great but, again, itâs cat food.On a side note, I also purchased the dry kibble, which comes in several flavors. I assumed I would need to mix it in with their old food to get them used to it. They actually pick it out and eat it, then they leave the old food behind.

Package filled with bugs
We have been using this cat food for years and our kitties love it. However, recently prices have gone up and quality has dropped. Our last order arrived with discolored tape, and I noticed that the box sounded like it was filled with dirt when it was shaken. Upon opening it I was horrified to find it filled with dead bugs and dry larva. Contacted Amazon for a full refund and will be researching a new pate option.

I’ve used Solid Gold for years and my pets have always benefited from the high quality and will continue to use it but this particular product I have noticed my senior girl often leaves those little chunks in it like it’s something different from the rest so that has me concerned about what are in these chunks? Another thing is the product descriptions says it’s in gravy and that is not true. The food may be a bit more wet than other canned foods but no gravy in this one and I’ve used this long enough to see there has never been gravy not that this is the most important thing. She loves the rest of it but it’s so pricey that why buy something that they leave the little chunk portions of it every single feeding and why I gave it only three stars instead of five which is rare for Solid Gold brand. My guy kitty won’t touch it ever and I’ve tried several times. It smells so good too. I’m still trying to find one that they will both eat.

Some cats like it some donât.
My cats (2) wouldnât eat it, one friends cat liked it and 2nd friends cats liked it for 4 meals then wouldnât eat it. Not sure why. Blended tuna however gets eaten.

Senior kitty with lots of constipation issues and no teeth. Hoping the pumpkin would help her. She loves the food. Even with the little chunks she is able to navigate it toothlessly. I just mash it up a little more. She eats the whole can twice a day. I had tried adding pumpkin puree to different foods but she has always turned up her nose. Will keep buying!
