BEST DOG COAT WE’VE EVER FOUND FOR OUR JACK RUSSELL TERRIER
Our JRT is a ‘shortie’ version, meaning she is lower to the ground and longer than standard JRT’s. It’s always been hard to find a coat that wasn’t too short on her body. This coat is great! It’s really well made and covers more of the dog than any I’ve ever seen. The neCK is like a loose-ish turtleneck, so it goes all the way up to hear ears and stays in place, but isn’t tight enough to cause her any discomfort. The belly band is nice and wide and adds warmth around the girth, and is adjustable, letting you choose which set of snaps work best for your dog’s body. The design of the coat is good because it doesn’t cut way up in the back like some that totally expose the hips. This one completely covers the hips. There are elastic straps that go around the back legs to keep it in place. They’re not tight, so not uncomfortable. The zipper in front is nice, but we leave ours unzipped to allow for fully free movement of our dog’s front legs. However- the extra fabric there does come around nicely to cover her chest and the fronts of her legs. Nice nylon fabric on top and soft fleece underneath. It’s well made, so I think it will last for a long time. Easy to put on and take off. It it came in other colors, we’d probably order another one for variety.We got a size small for our 13-14 lb female JRT.

Straps for back legs are too stretchy
We bought this jacket in the largest size. It’s fits our 6 month old doberman well with plenty of room to finish growing. He is on the larger size for 6 months. He is about 70-75lbs. I gave 4 star because I didn’t know that the jacket came with straps for the back legs and they are too stretchy and long. The jacket ends up sliding on his back end and hanging off to the side. I will try to remember to update my review when he is bigger and to see how the jacket fits him then. I love the color (orange) and I love that the jacket has a removable fleece lining so I can use it as a rain jacket on the warmer rainy days.

Great coat
My dog says the other dogs are going to make fun of him if I put this on him but I make him wear it anyway lol it goes over his head easy fits and well even as he grew a little bit because of the two snaps two or three snaps on the side allow some growing. It’s all it’s claims to be for sure well worth the money

Effective raincoat!
This raincoat does the job– keeps my dog warm and dry when we walk in the rain/winter. It’s easy to get on and off and the adjustable snap closure is appreciated as my dog has a broad chest and a narrow back end. It’s well made and has held up well.

Cheap zipper, not very warm, not like the pictures
Got it for my fat, almost 3 years old mastiff / great dane / lab cross that is our guard dog and spends the night outside. He has a very thin coat and gets easily cold.My observations:Not a very warm jacket, since the material isn’t insulated whatsoever.The fleece is thin, not what they show on the pictures.The neck is very loose, which was perfect for my thick necked dog, but again, it doesn’t fit like the one on the handsome dobbie showed on the picture.It seems to be waterproof, but how would that matter when the neck is fleece and water goes to their body on the inside of the jacket, through the fleece??I’m used to jackets where they have velcro to close the belly band. This one has cheap plastic buttons that open a couple of times day. Velcro is better, more stable, and better adjustable.The very long leg straps are actually good for him, but he has lots of meat to fill them in!!!! LoLThe front zipper is a big joke. Very cheap and doesn’t stay closed at all. From the moment I got it out of the bag and put it on him, it automatically opened and doesn’t matter how many times I close it. It opens in seconds!!!The chest portion gets “very” exposed, as you can see on my dog’s pictures, so he does have a cold chest in the mornings.Bottom line: Would NOT recommend it, nor buy it again. Find something different if you’re looking for warmth and really waterproof.Disclaimer: he spends the night outside, but we have a heated enclosed shed with 3 large dog houses, Costco beds and dog blankets. He can stay out of the weather any time he wants to, and he does that as much as he can. He’s spoiled, but does earn his kibble by keeping strangers away from our house.

Just the best xxx large dog coat ever and ai is not writing this. I have a 100 lb dog and can never find a coat that fits the length of his back, this coat does. It’s way easy to get on and the big wide strap that goes around his tummy is adjustable to 4 different sizes. The cozy neck collar is just perfect. Did I mention I can get the coat on and off him in like 2 seconds. We love our fur babies and when we find something that works it’s just amazing!

Great for our wild mystery dog
We have a mystery dog we got from a local pound. She has a similar body build to a doberman. Big chest, tiny belly. She also is a wild thing that runs like no ones business. It stays on her very well and keeps her warm. Very happy.
