High quality, very sturdy made heavy duty materials
This dog safety car harness is made of very high-quality materials that make it very heavy duty and very sturdy harness for traveling with your pet, especially oversize large pets, making sure that they stay in their seat and seated during transporting trips where they are not and a kennel for transportation. Itâs functionality. Itâs pretty good. It is definitely a harness that your dog can grow into because of the materials. It is sent with has an abundance so you can work with your dog and adjust it as your dog grows at features a collar style clip, clasp to close the harness, but the clip also has a red button thatâs there for safety that needs to be slid across before it can become unclipped, works well with your seatbelt, whether itâs a lap. belt or a full seatbelt with chest stripe both styles work just as well with the harness. I feel itâs more comfortable for my service to travel in than her actual service vest that she uses to work and I also feel itâs comfortable for her for long trips and travels, but itâs also safe as she is a larger dog and the harness has done its job keeping her in place on the seat. The only con I have about the harness functionality is that it loosen up easily if itâs not loop through and tightened correctly with your dog weight and after a travel, it can loosen up on your pet so making sure if it and itâs loop through its own tethering straps you shouldnât have any problem with that. There are days I have to do a readjustment, but itâs not every time I get her out of the vehicle now that I realized I needed to adjust it and tie it off after running it back through one of his clasps and use the Velcro that is supplied.

Very well constructed
I was looking for a safety harness for my dog as he likes to ride in my truck, but slips around way too much. I ordered this with anticipation that may work, but it fit perfectly and is very well constructed and as you can see in the photo, my dog loves it, he actually rides more. He feels more secure and isnât falling around in the truck.

Well built
My 60 lb lab/hound has worn out a few car harnesses. This one is holding up well. The straps need frequent tightening but she pulls really hard so not unexpected. Wish there was a better strap lock but this is the best so far

Iâm having to fix it
So I have a bunch of dogs. So I can not fit gunner kennels in my jeep wrangler for each one of my dogs. So I bought these harnesses. I like them however they loosen as the dog wares them. So everytime I put the harness on I have to adjust the straps. However Iâm gonna see it together where that donât happen anymore. But with a bunch of dogs I donât want to have to harness everyone then adjust everyone 24/7. Other than that I think the latch that hooks the harness together on the back of the dog could b stronger. Seems cheep. But itâs just to hold the harness together so not to important. But with big dogs on a safety harness it should b better. Other than that I like it.

Well made solod car harness
I needed this to keep my Australian/border collie mix puppy in his seat. It is easy to use and has kept him in his seat instead of in my lap while I am trying to drive. It is adjustable and it sould last hisl lifetime. He only wears it in the vehicle.

Would not recommend. Do not buy.
I am not the type of person to write reviews. I think the last time I wrote a review was about a decade ago, so this should give you an idea of how much I dislike the product.I bought multiple harnesses for my 90 pound Labrador Retriever and my 80 pound American Staffordshire Terrier but they barely lasted me about a month. The straps tend to get loose as they wear them and it is simple enough to just tighten them but it is a nuisance to constantly need to do that. I ultimately ended up returning two harnesses and kept one because it was made out of good material and gave it the benefit of the doubt. But the seller only refunded ONE harness and charged me for the other harness claiming they never received the second harness. I reached out to the seller but was ignored. Now I am out the cost of the harness I kept but can’t use anymore because the straps keep loosening and the price of a harness I returned but not credited for. Overall, the material of the items were good quality and when the harness was on, my pups seems comfortable and secure. For that reason I think it is fair to give the product itself three stars. The constant loosening of the straps is such design flaw that in the long run will not work for my pups. However, the seller charging me for an item I returned and then disregarding me when I reached out is atrocious. They charged me for the more expensive item of the two returned which makes me feel like it was intentional fraud. Do not buy this harness.

Dog slips right out of it
I got this harness because the handles on the back of it were really sturdy and would be good to use with a seatbelt. I have another harness for my much smaller other dog that Iâve been using for about 16 years that way, it was discontinued and Iâve never found one as good. This one seemed almost there, it might be good just for the car, but not for walking. The side straps can be tightened, but itâs difficult to do so, and then for the extra length of strap it either hangs out all over the place, or you can fold it and have velcro straps to keep them in place, which they fail to do, the straps eventually slip and are dangling again. Most of all, it is a cinch for the dog to slip right out of. In the photos youâll see there is a single buckle right in the middle of the back. The dog steps into the harness, you pull it up and then buckle at the back, not around the neck or sides. There are two metal hoops for the leash, which I guess, you clasp both at once which is awkward, requires a lead with a large enough clasp and it still doesnât make the harness any more secure. She can slip out going forwards or backwards. The middle clasp just doesnât secure the harness towards the neck or the tail.I had it at the tightest settings and I though it fit snugly but my dog didnât want to come home after a walk and just slipped right out with no effort. I have a mother harness for her and she can still slip out if she really wants to, and Iâm pretty sure itâs almost cutting off circulation. However she does need to make more of an effort so I have time to intervene before she succeeds.

I have now used this harness on my large Wolfdog for more than a month. I use it to fasten her seat belt to the existing seat belt in the back seat. This harness is the most sturdy I have ever found on the market. The buckles are placed perfect so that IF something would happen, it’s not the buckles that have to take the force of whatever would happen if we would come to an abrupt halt with the car. My girl weighs about 40kg/100lbs, so I really need a harness that can hold her weight if something were to happen. It also doubles as a walking harness when we’re outside of the car and I’m very pleased with it.It has excellent support for her chest which would take the brunt force of having to stop suddenly. So far, I’m very satisfied with this Sherpa Crash Tested Multi functional Safety Belt Dog Harness – Black, Extra Large

I was so excited to see a harness that would take a seat belt. The harness itself is very heavy. The only way it would work is if your dog would sit in the seat like a human. My dog loves to look out of the window and lie down on the seat. When standing he looks like a frog as the belt pulled the harness down round his side and pulled his legs up. So disappointed. It would suit dogs that donât like lying or standing

This harness was obviously designed for a giant dog, then scaled down for smaller and smaller dogs, without taking into account the heaviness and bulkiness of the build. I hesitate to say this is a negative (who wants a flimsy restraint harness??), but it is awfully big and bulky for a tiny dog. That said, the stitching, rivets, and other design elements that make this a RESTRAINT harness are superb; everything about it reads solid, reliable, and safe for use in the vehicle to ensure your furbaby is not harmed in a collision; but this is NOT the harness if you are seeking one for just walking. It comes with multiple adjustment points, but is still a bit cumbersome to fit, especially the first time; but again, so is setting up a child’s car seat. Both are restraint devices and should be SOLID; if that means a bit of a learning curve, so be it.Standard seat belt just slips through the handles and clips into the receiver just as if a human were using it; this again is be fabulous for a medium to giant breed dog, but not so much for the tinies…too much strap to get tangled in for the littles like mine.I would suggest a redesign for small breed dogs/animals, or stick to just the larger animals. This is too much weight, too bulky and too much going on for small dogs. Why then do I not rate it lower? Because the product itself is not flawed, only it’s use for lithe or thin tiny dogs (MinPin/Chi/Pom), in my opinion, is inappropriate. For larger dogs this would definitely be something I would buy, gift and use as it is so solidly put together, both in design and materials.
