Okay, so this vest is built so ruggedly that it would survive a zombie apocalypse, would be a compliment if my old pooch Rusty were embarking upon a long trek through a zombie-infested dystopian wasteland⦠He isnât. Heâs just getting old and his hind legs are failing him to the point where heâs struggling with stairs. I was really just looking for a nice comfortable harness to assist Rusty going up and down stairs. This tactical harness is way too heavy and cumbersome for routine dog assistance. The straps and numerous buckles are too much. Again, this is a heavy well-built harness, itâs just too complicated. I returned it and purchased a different brand. If youâre a Navy SEAL and you need a sturdy vest for your war dog, I recommend this harness! Ooh rah.

It slides
I wanted this to work so much but my dogs hair is very short and soft and this thing slides too much and I donât want it to be too tight. I need to be able to put her on my shoulder and carry her cause of surgery. Iâm not able to with her almost sliding out of it.

Does not help with rear support
The hardness is well made and sturdy, but it’s too short and does nothing to help with rear support. If my dogs front legs are and issue, this might work.

Fits good but more of a front support/lift, I got it to help hold his rear legs up and I have to lift his front body off ground to lift back and he is big dog so itâs uncomfortable to him for all weight off ground, would not recommend for rear leg support
