Royal Canin Digestive Care Dry Cat Food, 6 lb bag

Cats love it! Well worth it if you’re tired of cleaning “throw up” from rugs & costly vet visits.
It’s probably a throw back to their days living on the street, but both my senior cats are used to scarfing down their food and not chewing properly. Blackie (14/15 yrs old at 20 lbs) is the one with the really sensitive tummy & digestive issues that would lead to the cycle of eating and regurgitating later. He is also the one that had hernia surgery that included a few dental extractions, so the food ‘recycling’ process only got worse and veterinary visits more regular. Our veterinarian recommended several brands of foods to try that were specifically formulated to be easy to digest, and Royal Canin was one. Of course, it was the last one on the list that he liked the most. Kudos for creating kibbles that standout from other brands with a unique donut shape. I can’t speak for the taste, but this is the only food that has forced Blackie to slow down and chew when eating so no more regurgitating and stress on his tummy & throat muscles. Ditto for Sandy, who ‘sneaks’ to eat the food because he likes it, which is a good thing! The Digestive Care formula has another unexpected benefit that I’ve noticed. Since Sandy is on pro-plan weight management, I decided to see how off his diet he’s strayed “stealing’ the Royal Canin and it is less calories! 1 cup Digestive Care is 333 kcal vs 1 cup pro plan weight management at 455 kcal! Overall, I’d say the food provides the nutrition both senior cats require in a digestible formula and kibble shape that has worked well for us since 2019. It’s a little on the expensive side, but well worth it if you’re tired of cleaning ‘throw up’ from rugs and costly vet visits. Definitely, 5-stars!

Made a big difference with digestion in all of my Cats.
This smells like “real food” ingredients. Additionally, these ingredient’s are fresh and healthy for the cat’s digestion. I have 3 breeds of cat, all have had previous problems with some sort of real digestive issue. One was on stomach medications for a couple of years. Previously I had only purchased higher end cat foods in but none of them been nearly as successful in being digested properly by my cats as does this “Royal canin digestive care”. They’re able to hold this food down and their feces has improved significantly. That’s also the tell. I been using this food for my cats for the past couple/few years now. I highly recommend it. They all love the taste as well.

Wish it was in bigger bags
I really really wish this came in larger quantities. My cats like the food fine and the larger size I think helps reduce the vomiting from one of mine who eats way too fast. The only downside really is it is somewhat expensive and you cannot buy a very large bag, but it is quality food and they eat it so I am going to keep sticking with this for them

Would’ve never thought because it’s healthy for them but it’s the first empty bowl when I wake up each morning. Great quality product…

Dans notre cas ça vaut le coût de payer un peu plus cher pour une nourriture de qualité. Notre chat de 13 ans a commencé à avoir des problème de digestion. En ayant commencé à le nourrir avec cette nourriture il y a deux mois tout est rentré dans l’ordre. Et pour un chat avec des goûts difficiles, il l’adore!
