The correct wavelengths.
My homeopath says that red light therapy should be between 630nm and 700nm, but good ones go up to 850 nm [for deeper penetration into tissue]. This wrap does 660nm and 850nm.The belt is not uncomfortable to wear, but YMMV. Having the ability to use a usb power bank is a really helpful feature. There’s a pocket on the belt and I’m honestly not sure what it’s for. It’s not mentioned in the instructions nor the amazon page. The remote is simple to use [maybe this is what the pocket is for?]. One tiny little thing about the packaging. On the outside of the belt is the plastic housed usb-c port. This whole thing had the small hook and loop band next to the port and in shipping the port damaged some of the loops. It’s really no big deal but it did happen, and would be so simple to prevent.It’s a shame it cannot be washed in the washing machine.

Honestly, I’m skeptical of the effectiveness of ‘red light therapy’ as the effectiveness is based on the amount of energy delivered to the affected area. That’s why deeper penetrating lasers are preferred to LEDs. As energy delivered is dependent the time applied, a longer time might allow some effect to deep tissues. As for my personal experience with this device; I found it powerful enough to generate heat which was certainly pleasant on my back, but the jury’s out on whether it enabled ‘healing’. I found this device easy to use, and the included wrap allows it to be easily applied to many parts. A quick look at PubMed will allow you to check out needed fluences (energy/cm2) for your issue.Overall, this device is as advertised and if you have an issue that it can address, it’s definitely worth the $40 price point.
