Product: Purina Pro Plan Vital Systems Salmon and Rice Formula Senior Cat Food Dry 4-in-1 Formula – 5 lb. BagI got this food because I will be cat sitting a senior cat for a couple of weeks. My kitty isnât a senior cat, but realistically I wonât be able to keep their food source separate. After a bit of research, I found it was safe to feed a younger cat food for a senior cat. I knew the senior cat eats Pro Plan, but I wanted to make sure my cat would eat it. She has eaten other Pro Plan foods in the past. She liked them and I liked the quality of the food.Salmon is one of my catâs favorite flavors, so this was a good choice. This food was a hit with her! She absolutely loves it. She was trying to get into the bag before I even opened it. Sheâs been eating it now for a couple of weeks, and she still likes it. She has not had any issues with this food.Pro Plan is Purinaâs top brand of pet food. This food seems to be good quality. My bag has an expiration date for about a year. The pricing is what I expect for a high end cat food.

Purina Cat Food Is Superior
This Purina cat food is geared for senior cats so I thought I would give this a try. The salmon and rice it contains and the variety of other choice ingredients look very nutritious. I currently feed 3 feral cats and they are over 13 years old, which is definitely senior in cat years. I like the way this food, referred to as kibbles, is smaller than other dry cat food. As cats get older they sometimes lose some teeth, which is what happened to one of my cats. So this was perfect, but surprisingly even feral cats can be finicky once they are being fed regularly with the same food. Not only do they get used to the cat food they have been getting, cats donât always take to a different brand. Amazingly, these 3 cats completely devoured this new food without any reservations. In fact it was clear they absolutely loved it! This is amazing to me because I have tried to introduce other cat food throughout the years, but they never dug in the way they did today. I used to have to mix the new food with my old one, and still they would walk away indifferently. So the way they went for this food really surprised me.I definitely recommend this food for cats, especially for older ones. It is high quality which Purina is known for, and because of that it is more expensive than average brands. In my opinion, it is worth it because it will help cats become healthier with better ingredients and happier too. If it is not affordable for you then you can always serve it occasionally, to keep the cost down, since dry cat food will last and stay fresh without refrigeration.

Cats love it, SO expensive
I chose to feed this to my suddenly finicky 14.5 year old ill cat. He stopped eating his Blue Wilderness indoor food. He likes this and the kibble size is perfect/small. Itâs just one of the, if not THE, most expensive cat foods per lb Iâve ever seen! But of course my elderly cat needs it. And both my cats now eat it and their poo does not smell at all from it.

It’s a winner!
I ordered this because when we moved into our current house we discovered we had a stray cat hanging around and sleeping under our deck. Based on info from neighbors, she is at least seven years old. After learning her age, I wanted to switch her to a senior food so she is getting adequate nutrition for her age.At the advice of my vet, I feed my three inside kitties Purina Pro Plan so figured I would look into that for her as well. It’s important to me to feed food from a trusted brand.Even though she is a stray, she is a bit of a picky eater. She took to this food right away. As recommended during a food swap, the first few dishes I mixed with her old dry food and slowly increased the amount of Purina Pro Plan Vital Systems in each bowl. She is now fully eating the Purina Pro Plan and seems to enjoy it! (I tried different brands with her already, and she would pick out the pieces of kibble she wanted. She didn’t do that with Purina Pro Plan)Even though I’ve been working with her for months, I can’t get her to come to me. I hope to continue working with her so I can find her a home to enjoy her old age. Until then we can provide her with a place to stay outside and some nutritious salmon food!

Bathroom emergency
Had to take my cat to an overnight emergency clinic after 1 month. He couldn’t use the bathroom whatsoever. Left with 2 weeks worth of medicine and a couple hundred dollar vet bill.
