Feel Tricked
My dogs seem to like the taste. Not sure if the product works since it has only been a few weeks and they don’t have any issues anyway. I just wanted to give them a little something extra to help them out. The only reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is I feel I was lied to.I was going to order another brand but this brand said it had 3 billion CFUs on the front, after the order came in I was reading the back and found out that it is 3 billion CFUs per 2 Chews not for each chew like I was tricked into believing. Now I have small dogs under 25lbs so the back says I should only give them one a day. This means they are not getting the 3 billion CFUs I thought they would be getting.The product is also small, so not sure how much ingredients are really in each chew

A surprising side benefit
I wanted to try probiotics for my dogs to help with their teeth and gums (preventive) and breath (immediate). I did a bunch of research as well as reading reviews before choosing Probiotics Plus. The blend is better than most others I saw, plus it includes prebiotics which I learned was also beneficial. And it was a reasonable price to boot. After using nearly the whole bottle on my 2 little dogs (1 per day each for the past 2 months) here is my report: 1) Breath is definitely better. 2) My rat terrier chihuahua has had problems with leaky eyes daily since we got her as a pup. I was not TRYING to solve that problem, but it is now solved — within about 2 weeks of starting probiotics, her leaky eyes stopped leaking! I no longer have to wipe thick goo out of the corner of her eyes every day or two, as we had done for the prior 7 years!!! There was absolutely nothing else that changed in her life other than the probiotics, so it is cause and effect without question. 3) As to the teeth, I will probably never know for sure, as it’s not a magic bullet against tartar buildup that I can measure in any way. But my vet recommended that it could help with that, which is why I started this up in the first place. And though I usually just pop one chew into their dinner dishes, I can also report that my very picky deer chihuahua will eat these as a treat! So I am extremely satisfied, and will continue to use this product.

Be patient as it takes a while
Our bulldog, Max, absolutely loves this product. He’s 85 lbs and I give him two in the morning and two in the evening. I bought Petaxin Probiotics because Max had quite a lot of flatulence and I am sure you know how baad that can be for the rest of us, whether in the living room or the car. Plus, flatulence is an indicator that the gut is out of balance, especially if not just occasional. It took at least a few months, probably four, before we noticed any difference, but now Max is farting far less often. Still clears the room, but infrequently now. And he really thinks these are the best treat on the shelf.
