smell like chicken
My dog was excited to try these, I opened them up and took a good smell thinking it would be pumpkin and papaya. Obviously I did not read the label that well, these are chicken flavored. (went back to look at the listing, the part on the label that says chicken flavored was cut off on the listing, however, it was clearly in the ingredients list which I just didn’t check before ordering) The dog got one because he was begging and I am a sucker for punishment. He is allergic to chicken, so sadly the rest of these will have to go to his companion, my dad’s dog when they get home from their yearly trip to warmer shores. I assume from using similar products that these will work just as well as the ones I normally get for my dog (usually in another flavor). Probiotics help with my dogs weak stomach and napalm like room clearing odors. So if your dog is not as weak and spineless as my special boy you will probably really like these. They don’t expire for two years, the packaging has a freshness seal. There are 170 in this particular container enough for my beast to last 56 ish days. They do have a recommended amount to give dogs listed by body weight. 1 under 10 lbs, 2 10-30, 3 31-60, 4 61-90, etc. If your good little one can’t crawl up on the couch with you because he will suffocate you with his love and weight the number is 5. I do use pumpkin liberally with my beautiful boy, it really does help especially when he gets into something he shouldn’t or someone forgets he can’t have chicken and they slip him a little gravy on top of his food (looking at you dad). I am sure these are fantastic, just not for that handsome boy.

They smell horrid. First thing, I checked the expiration date which is fine, 7/26. I put one down on the floor to see what the dogs would do. They ate it which is not saying much as they have previously eaten their own excrement. I have seen them refuse food before though so I don’t know what to think about these other than if they eat it and it does not make them sick, I may continue to give them 1 a day as they are small dogs. It really could be just the particular flavor that smells off to me as I have tried others previously and none have smelt this awful.

Dog Likes Them
My dog really likes the taste of these probiotic chews. I give them to her daily, and it seems to help keeping her stool nice and solid.
