Dog eats better when she has to work for it!
My little dog is a picky eater but her favorite activity is sniffing sniffing sniffing. Now whatever kibble she doesn’t eat out of her bowl at mealtime, I’ll pour onto this mat and she is delighted and will forage until it’s gone. She really loves it, and I love how stimulating it is for her. The quality is excellent, great value for the price. Seriously probably my favorite “toy” I’ve bought so far!

Works Like Magic
My puppyâs trainer suggested I try this when she gets overly excited and hard to calm down because sniffing out the treats is like taking a bunch of deep breaths. Itâs like tricking your dog into meditation. I found that freeze dried salmon works the best for us because itâs so stinky that it keeps her attention until sheâs found every last morsel. Then sheâs back to the calm, easygoing, loving pup that I know she is.Much love to any other puppy parents out there going through the bonkers teething / fear period / growth spurt / pre-neuter/spay hormone attitude phase all at the same time.

Great little food mat
I love this thing. My dog always eats as though she is starving and inhales her food. This slows her down and gives her some stimulation. I can see this getting torn apart my a more aggressive dog, but itâs perfect for my pug who does not destroy toys or tear apart fabric. Itâs an excellent value for the price.

A great first snuffle mat
This does a great job of not only slowing your dog down but also exposing them to the idea of working for their food. My favorite features of this one specifically are how compact it can be when not in use and how easy it is to clean. Just throw it in the washing machine and it will remove any smell. My dog can and does move this around so itâs not stationary. Easily on the lower end for a snuffle mat

This is in the top three, if not #1 favorite thing we have ever gotten our dogs! We have two small dogs, and the older one was getting random bursts of boredom/energy every couple hours and didnât know what to do with it.I got one of these and another in a different style and the dogs LOVE them!! It really helped with those bursts/boredom. This one is more challenging than the other style I got, which is also soft but looks more like a childrenâs toy.You have to run your fingers through it to bury the food (we use small bite food), but it will keep them busy and engaged for quite a while! These two now prefer their dinner from the snuffle mats instead of the bowl – so I guess I created myself a different issue now haha.Really, I am so happy I got this. Our older dog is so happy using his nose and digging around for food. Itâs adorable to watch.Our dogs arenât destructive or droolers, so hard to say for others, but this mat is holding up great for us. Everyday use since Christmas (7 months) and looks great.

The felt ones are more stimulating
I ordered two at the same time- this one for our 20 lb dog and one of the felt ones (w 3 in felt pieces) for our 70lb dog. This one is not as great as the other type. The food kind of sits on the top, so the dog doesnât need to snuffle very hard. It also looks harder to pull the food out without the dog ingesting fabric. Finally, there is no suction on this one so it moves all over the floor. However, it is soft and cleans nicely in the washing machine. Iâve just noticed that neither dog wants to use this snuffle bowl over the months. The felt one is very interesting to them and keeps them busier longer.

My Maltese Puppy Brandy really enjoyed foraging for her treats on the mat!But when I put it aside, she insists on napping on it!She is so adorable, and when she wakes up on it, she hunts for any remaining snacks left behind.This one is quality made, with deep pile to hide the treats in!Now I’m thinking I’m going to purchase an even bigger one for variety and easier napping.Brandy gives this 4 paws up!!

Iâve had this product since October. My dog loves it! Iâve had to wash it a couple times and now unfortunately itâs starting to fall apart. Iâm disappointed in the durability.

Great value, quality construction and materials. Made by, or sold under the brand; âPet Parentsâ. Body of the mat is woven polyester that is very durable. You can cinch it up to have an lip to hold the kibble/treats in, or loosen the drawstring and lay it flat. The drawstring has a compartment to tuck the extra rope in for your pets safety. The chenille type field looks very washable and they didn’t cheap out on the number of strands. So far my dogs have loved it.

This has been great for our fast eating, food obsessed medium sized (40lb) dog. She spends a good 10 minutes âdiggingâ around with her nose to find all the kibble. Smaller the kibble, the better this will work.
