Takes time, and effort, but it does work!
My 8 year old dog seems to have sprouted blackheads on her belly overnight – more like over the past year, but it felt that way. Turns out a dog’s body changes as they age, too.Took her to the vet and he said it was just that, clogged pores. I’ve had to be really good at bathing her regularly, and following the instructions – including the wait time – but after 3 months, it looks remarkably better! It really freaked me out, at first, and I was worried it was some kind of mite. Don’t get me wrong, definitely go to the vet if you have the means, but also don’t panic. They’re covered in fur so their pores are hella different, it makes sense that their version of acne would look freaky to us ðI also use a Furbliss rubber brush to lather the shampoo as well as an oatmeal spray conditioner afterwards. If you find a way to make it enjoyable for them, it becomes a lot easier. The rubber brush scritches her skin real good, so it becomes more tolerable to her.Anyway, good shampoo, you should get it.

Great product and works to clean & dry-out hot spots or wounds.
Really like the simple shampoo, wait 5 minutes and rinse. It does leave the animal smelling sterilized or medicinally washed, but who cares if it helps to clear up skin issues and kill germs. Works well and I recommend it when you need it. I would not consider this for regular bathing, but will use it when needed. Good product for my dogs.

Impressed
I was very pleasantly surprised with this shampoo. Stopped the itching after the first bath. As with many other reviewers, my dog broke out in some sort of itchy, bumpy rash. This calmed the skin and removed the bumps. He slept, snoring, for 8 hours after his bath. There is no lather generated by this shampoo, feels like a lotion when applied, yet cleans the skin completely. Smell isn’t bad and rinsed out with the shampoo. My neighbor has spent 100s of dollars on her dog trying to remedy the same condition. I turned her onto this product and am anxiously waiting for her results. All said and done, I would highly recommend the product for any type of skin issue. It may not work for all problems, but is much cheaper than a vet visit.

It works
My dog had the Schnauzer bumps on her back….After using this product only 3 times, (follow with another doggy shampoo each bath) she has none of the bumps left. I’m very pleased with it’s performance. Highly recommend for that condition.

Good shampoo and conditioner for dogs with skin issues from having auto immune disease.
My little shih Tzu s have gotten skin issues as they’ve aged. One had auto immune disease and had to be on strong Prednisone for 2 mo. It left his skin very flaky and oily. Shampooed with this shampoo, left it on 5 to 10 min and messaged his skin. It did a great job cleaning up his skin.

Smells good wet, stinks like a perm dry
Initially the smell is quite pleasant when shampooing. Left my dog feeling clean and shiny, as he dried I began to smell this nasty scent on him I can only describe as perm. I just hope it helps!

working well for my senior pup
my 17 yo min pin has been dealing with a demodex infestation on his lower back for close to a year now. his immune system won’t fend the little buggers off and isn’t a good candidate for dip treatment so I’ve been using medicated shampoos plus vet meds to help it look better [he isn’t itchy, just looks a little unsightly]. this shampoo smells nice and calms down his skin when it looks a little angry. we use it twice a week taking care to not apply on his bits. we let it sit for 5-10mins and it rinses away any buildup and flakes. no irritations. because of the active ingredient, it may stain clothing/towels but hasn’t effected his black coat at all. solid product. this brand has been trusted in my household for years now.

My almost 4yo Samoyed has had skin problems for over two years. At 2yo we had his skin biopsied and it came back that he had pyoderma dermatitis but our vet didn’t know what the cause was or how to treat this. We’ve been trying foe years to fix his skin problems but it only got worse. Recently we had him tested for bushings and over active thyroid and full bloods came back all normal $1000 later. We’ve been using malaseb weekly and it works but doesn’t remove the greasy and sticky sebum that has build up all over his skin. After doing a lot of research, I believe he has had a persistent fungal infection and came across this product on Amazon. Pet MD Benzoyl Peroxide is not available in Australia, but the reviews were so good, I forked out $80 to try this. I massaged it in well and left it on his skin for 10-15 mins and repeated. I was amazed to see the steadfast stickiness lifting and I could finally see his pink skin under the black and brown build-up as it degreased the skin. After one wash, it is not 100% better but I would say its the best thing I’ve used so far and I’m excited that this will be the answer to our skin problems. I will continue to use this every second day along with malaseb to kill the fungus and I look forward to reviewing hoe it goes. We have tried everything else. After just one use, it worked so well, I am hopeful it will clear up the skin once and for all.
