Purrfect for outdoor cats
Its safe for outdoor use, cover can be washed, and my cats love it…and so do the neighbors cats.

Works well. Control box needs to be further down the cord away from the pad.
Works well, timer & temp. All in all I’m mostly satisfied. I do really believe that control box needs to be further down the cord away from the pad – Maybe another 12 – 18 inches to be convenient. It actually is a generously long cord, but I’d like another 12 to 18 inches for all mounting.

May not work, buyer beware.
It died. I want a refund or a credit. This is a replacement that failed to work. Shame.

Heating pad
My dogs absolutely love the heating pad. Itâs cold in my house and I turn down the heat at night. The fact that I can regulate the heat and use the 12 hour timer is wonderful!!!!

Kitty loves it
Wish it didn’t have a timer so it could just stay on but I’m not complaining. Kitty is warm and that’s what matters most.

Not precise but works ok. Not suitable for smart-home control.
I got this to provide heat for the cat condo we use to provide surgical recovery care for feral cat medical procedures. It fits perfectly onto the floor of the condo. It has settings for temperature, from 86F to 141F in steps of 5F, and hours of on-time in 1 hour increments from 1-12. Temperature is set and displayed in F only. If you want C this is not for you. I set it at 86 and gave it an hour to heat up then measured the top surface temperature with a known accurate infrared thermometer as 81 – 83 in various places. Up to 85 on the bottom surface. Testing again at 111F- measured temperature between 98 – 100 so about 10% below the setting. The hours-on control seems reasonably accurate but I didn’t check it for precision. Comes with two removable, washable velour covers which fit now but are pretty tight and might need to be cold water washed and air dried to fit them a second time. The cord is armored and should be pretty impervious to chewing which is very important with ferals. One issue- There is a red symbol on the control that shows power on/off. It’s bright for OFF and dim for ON. Not intuitive and could be better to be OFF for off or red for off and green for on or something. Unplugging this and plugging it back in, it comes back up in the OFF mode with 0 hours and 86 degrees. That means you can’t plug it into an external timer or smart home plug and have it run 2 hours every night for example. You are going to have to go actually touch the buttons every time.

It has 2 x covers, contol, multiple heat and timer settings, and uses low wattage.
In the box, I received the heating pad with built-in contol and 2 slip covers (1 à brown and 1 x tan). I got this for a 101 lb. 11 year old pitbull. He has arthritis, and he is on pain management but still has a hard time getting comfortable sometimes. I’ve noticed he seems the most comfortable when he is lying in the sun on a nice day. Heat seems to really make a difference for him. I decided to get him this heating pad to see if it helps. I’m happy to report it does a great job. I’ve been trying to find anything i can to make his life as good as it can be. I even got him steps to help him on and off the furniture or in and out of the car. He loves this heating pad. He isn’t tossing and turning as much as he was before I got the pad. At first, I was worried it might be too small for him, but it produces enough heat, so he doesn’t need it the full length of his body. I like that it came with 2 different style washable slip covers. While 1 is in the wash, you will still be able to use the pad. The tan one is soft, and the brown one is super soft. The brown and tan slip covers even match his steps I bought him. The pad has a heating range of 86°F to 141°F. The description said vets recommend 95°F to 108°F for most pets. The thermostat works very well and is accurate. The heating pad will heat up to the temperature you set. The tan slip cover reduces the temperature between 15 and 20 degrees. I am not positive about the brown cover, but I would assume it would be about the same. When you first turn the heat on, the pad will pull up to 60 watts. As the temperature climbs, the wattage drops. When you reach your designated temperature, the power consumption drops down to under a watt at .11 or .12 watts. The current will fluctuate as the pad cools down and needs power to bring the temp back up, but I haven’t seen it go over 60 watts. I like having a timer function. I can set a timer from 1hr to 12hrs and not worry about forgetting to turn it off. Another reviewer said they wished it didn’t have a timer so she could leave the heat on. I would like to clarify that you don’t need to use the timer. You can leave it set to 0. The controller is in line on a nice thick power cable. It is reinforced in case a dog chews on it, but I wouldn’t leave this on alone with a dog, especially a puppy or chewer. This item also states indoor use only. I don’t recommend using this for a dog outside on a regular basis in a dog house, shed, or even in a garage unless it’s climate controlled. I will be using mine under my gazebo on an outdoor couch for movie nights. With the low power draw, my power station will run this, my TV, and firestick for a few hours. If you are going to hook this up to a portable power supply, make sure it is a pure sinewave outlet when using an item like this. My dog loves this pad, and he doesn’t usually like new stuff. He is a creature of habit. He has his stuffed bear, and when it rips, I have to buy the same stuffed bear. He won’t play with a new toy. He likes having a routine and doing the same thing at the same time every day. He does not like change, but he loves this mat. If you knew my dog, you would know this speaks volumes. I definitely recommend this pad, especially for an animal with arthritis. I do recommend consulting with a veterinarian before ordering this mat to make sure your pet doesn’t have any underlying conditions that could be hindered from heat.
