Consistent heating, wide range of temperatures
Iâve been using this mostly to warm my feet and legs while sitting on the sofa/ottoman.Itâs fairly nice, I havenât found much to complain about.Itâs pretty thick â about the thickness of 3 bath towels. The material is fairly smooth, plastic-like, and feels like it will be easy to clean. It comes with a removable cloth coverThe heat feels very evenly distributed. And I do not feel any heating wires in the blanket. So I think the heating material is some type of cloth. The pad is a little bit fluffy/squishy, I think it will flatten out as it gets used. I donât consider it thick enough to be a bed for a pet â maybe something under 10lb. I think it would be placed on top of a bed, or underneath the cover of a bed.You can feel the heat best, when it is wrapped around your legs/feet, and pressed close to you. Or when you are sandwiched between this pad, and a blanket, to hold the heat in + keep the cold ambient air off.A comfortable temperature for me, at ambient temps in the 60-65f range, is 101-141f. It is adjustable in 5 degree increments. 141 is the maximum temperature. At 141f it was not hot enough to burn me â but it might cause damage if you lay on it for more than a few minutes. The minimum temperature of 86f was comfortable for long (>30-60 minutes) periods of time. It got too hot beyond the 101f zone. There are some mild hot spots, where your body rests against it and applies pressure, and where it is a bit thicker around the perimeter â maybe a 5-10f increase in temperature â enough to be uncomfortable. I donât think itâs a problem if you are ambulatory, and shift around once every 5-10 minutes. I think you could minimize them by covering it with a blanket or towel to better disperse the heat. If this is used with someone who is bed-ridden, or has diminished nerve sensory capability, I would try it out yourself for an extended period of time, to get a sense of what the right temperature is on the thermostat. There is a shutoff timer as well. The remote is easy to use, with well-labeled buttons, and large ½â or larger green font. 1 power button. 1 temperature adjustment. 1 timer adjustment. The buttons are large, and easy to push. You have to turn it on and set the temperature every time you unplug/replug it in to the wall.If you are looking specifically for a foot warmer, then it is probably best to buy a different style that covers your foot, like a boot. This one will warm your feet, but you really need to put a blanket or something on top of your feet to keep the heat in. It is a lot more effective when you put more surface area of your body on it â like on an ottoman, or bed.It measures just under 36âx 24âThe cord in total is just under 67â (5ft 7â) when stretched out.If you are getting this for a pet, I think it would be fine for a 40lb dog. After about 60lbs, I think theyâd start getting bigger than the pad. But the pad should provide enough heat well beyond that range â they will just have bits of their bodies hanging off of it, onto the floor, or underlying bedding, which is fineI think itâs important to put a thick pad underneath this, if youâre worried about damage to your flooring material due to the heat. And to put something like a blanket, or the cover, on top of it, to distribute the heat more evenly. And to consider whether your pet might chew on the cord.Overall I like this heating pad. It has a good build quality 8+/10, and distributes heat very evenly due to the fabric-style heating element. And the rest depends on your personal wants/needs, and cost or availability of other models.

Excellent heating pet pad.
The pad is surprisingly well constructed. It comes with a soft zip up cover. The actual temperature seems lower than indicated. But it’s easily adjustable. I just wish the time could be set for more than max 12hrs. Actually on/off would be preferable. It keeps our newly born puppies comfortable and warm. Unfortunately we have to turn it back on every 12hrs.

Gus (Chihuahua – yes, I know this is for a CAT! ) Loves It !
Gus, our chihuahua, likes to be with us and we like it that way too. While he OWNs the queen size bed we all sleep in, he has a bed in the car, a bed for the truck, a bed in the sun room, and my husband has just made him a bed for our new greenhouse.Problem… the greenhouse has a concrete floor. Cold. Gus didn’t like his greenhouse bed… until he got his electric heating pad! The heating pad comes with a nice, soft cover for storage during summer months, is fairly thick and appears to be water – pee proof. The bed was designed to fit a standard size dog (or cat) size pillow and when covered by the pillow the heating pad does not show, except for the electric cord coming out the back. Said cord is protected with a metal coil – puppy chew proof!Everybody’s happy!

Comes with a gray soft cover
I was pleasantly surprised to see this came with a very soft cover. It fit on easily and the zipped up snug against the cord so you don’t even notice it. The underside of the cover has a bumpy texture to prevent the pad from sliding around. It takes a while to heat up, and you don’t really feel much unless you set it at 100 degrees or more. Even then, it just feels slightly warm to the touch, but if you sit on it, then you can really feel the warmth. It took a few tries for the cats to get the hang of it because you can barely feel it. But on a cold day, the cats were sitting by the heat vent, so we moved them to the pad. They laid down on it, and now they ONLY sleep on the heating pad haha. Even if we don’t have it turned on yet, they will lay on it due to the association and they prefer flat surfaces to sleep on so they can stretch out. We don’t set it much higher than 100 degrees because the cats can get warm after a while. You can set a timer, which is both convenient and inconvenient. It’s nice to set that safety net – we don’t usually set more than 2 hours, but if we are not there to turn it on for the cats, then it’s just a pad. I might have to get more since the cats love it so much. XD

Only works on a timer, can’t run it continuously, build quality seems meh
I was disappointed to find that this unit only works with a timer. I have barn cats and unlike most heated beds, I can’t just set this and forget it. Big bummer and reduces it’s usability significantly for me.Another bummer .. the LED screen had a protective tape. As I tried to peel it off, it pulled the whole screen protector off. Broke its brackets and all. I didn’t just “rip it” either. I was pulling it slowly but the adhesive they used (it wasn’t just a cling protector) is too strong and as I pulled the tabs of the screen just broke and it came off. It still works so I’ll keep using it but highly annoying.Once you turn it on, it does heat more than the usual plug and forget typical pet heated bed. You can actually feel the heat much more than other beds. It’s also a good size and the cover is nice and soft.Overall, meh.Pros: it heats well, cover is soft.Cons: build quality, lack of ability to turn on without a timer.

Dogs will enjoy it
My pug loves it. She tends to get cold so this is prefect for her. Heats up decent. Canât complain.

Dog loves it
I have a three pound chihuahua that absolutely loves this large heating pad. Has a great built in controller with an easy to read large display that controls the temp and time in which it will stay heated. During these colder months this is a must have for smaller hairless dogs.
