sturdy cord, low wattage
Our cat likes to sleep on a throw in which this “bed” is hidden under two layers of felted wool. We like the low wattage and feel this is enough heat for our furry adult tabby cat. Also, putting it under a couple layers of wool reduces the heat, so it might also be fine with a thin cover for kittens or other small pets if more heat is needed. The square of wired plastic you receive – with instructions to place it inside_ a pet bed, is 9 inches by 9 inches. The cord that connects to an outlet is 6 feet long and chew resistant.

Perfect warmth without being dangerous
Heating pads are something you should be VERY careful about.If they get warm enough that you can immediately feel the warmth with your hand, then they probably get hot enough once covered with a body to burn flesh. And cats aren’t very good about getting away from warmth when it slowly builds like that.And thus, you should never use a human-intended heating pad for pets.In comes this product to save the day.It outputs very low level heat.It’s subtle enough that you likely won’t even feel it with your hand at first.But that extremely mild heat grows when a cat is sitting on it, enough that it becomes comfortably warm. Not too hot, but definitely warm enough that you can definitely tell that it was keeping your cat warm while it was occupied.And regardless of whether we as humans can feel the heat with our hands, cats most definitely can tell there’s heat there. Within minutes of you setting up this heating pad, your cats will probably flock to it and cuddle on whatever cat bed, dog bed, blankets, or other things you put this heating pad under.10/10, perfect heat, durable bite-resistant cord, and a great size to evenly heat most common cat bed sizes.

Gentle warmth for a cat or dog!
This is a nice pet bed warmer! This was smaller than I expected, I should have noted the measurements! But it is large enough for both our 12 lb cat and 14 lb dog (see photo of the warmer on the small dog bed to get a sense of the size). The cord is well protected from chewing, but a bit too short for my needs, so I will need to move the cat’s bed to get it near the outlet. The plastic on the actual pad that heats up seems a little thin, but it still seems well made and the box says it has a 1 year warranty. It heats up slowly which I like, and provides the gentle warmth I was hoping for. My cat loves it already. (I tested it under a floor mat and he was so excited to find this magical little warm spot, within a few minutes it was warm. We are not leaving it here, just for testing.) I am worried about using this with the destructive dog who is still ripping things apart, I will wait until she is older since I am worried about the plastic on the pad. Overall I feel like this is a quality product and we are really happy to have a gentle and safe warming pad for our cat’s bed!

Great product
I got this heating pad to go in an insulated house for my outdoor cat and it works perfectly. I placed it under a soft catâs bed, inside of the house and it keeps her very warm on chilly nights. Itâs comfortable for her to lay on, and is easy to clean. I also think itâs priced fairly.

Warm, Convenient, Good Value
I like this heating pad insert because it can go with my current dog bed and can be moved as needed to other beds or locations. It is just the right size for my small terrier mix. It appears to be well-made, it heats well, and seems durable. My terrier doesnât chew things so I canât verify its chew resistance, but it functions as advertised, is slip resistant and soft.

Winter is coming
I love a good heating pad. And our pads are exactly the same. This heating pad is ready to use right out of the box. it has no control panels, you just plug in and the mat starts heating up right away. I ordered the 9 x 9 because we have a new kitten and this is great to put under their beds so that they have some warmth while getting used to sleeping in their own space.The mat is waterproof and the electric cable comes protected so little cat clause canât rip it. So far the kitten loves it. it doesnât heat up too badly and if the kitten becomes too warm that he wants to move simply unplugged the mat and youâre done.Great addition to any pet owner of small animals living in areas where the temperature gets really cold.

power cord improperly attached
The assembly of the cord connection is incorrect and exposes bare wires that are accessible to the pet using the heating pad. This could result in pet injury if pet chews even a little bit on the power cord. Very dangerous. I will be returning the heating pad. I guess you get what you pay for.
