I use this for wildlife in rehab settings. Raccoons LOVE the flavor of this stuff!
This helps sickly, stressed wildlife recover quicker after they GI system starts functioning properly. It stops diarrhea and dehydration caused by diarrhea. Raccoons love it and willingly come to me with their mouths open to get a dose squirted in their mouths.I’ve also tried using it on one of my cats as she has health problems that would benefit from Bene-bac. Unfortunately, she hates the taste and/or texture of it so I had to switch to a powder I can mix in her food.HIGHLY recommend Bene-bac! It’s great stuff if you can get your patient or pet to eat it.

BE AWARE – Amazing product (def get the PLUS) for chins. BAD delivery.
Quinn’s Place was the store where I got my order. I thought I was ordering directly through PetAg. Please be aware.I received this product not in the normal sealed bag in which the manufacturer usually sends it. It was just thrown into an envelope. AND, there wasn’t even a cap on one of the items. I needed it badly for a senior chinchilla who was having gut issues. His other supply had run out. So I tried it. However, I suspect this was left out in the heat or something like that because it didn’t help him at all like benebac usually does. We just ordered an emergency supply from Chewy.com, and it is working much better like it should. Not very happy with the handling and delivery of this product.

Not right
This product is normally a paste when it is dispensed. The one I received comes out as if its melted. Does not dispense product correctly either. Disappointed i cannot return. Would like refunded but cannot find that option. Waste of money

Helped rehabilitate an old cat
At age 13, my indoor / outdoor cat was losing weight and had a soft watery stool. The Vet did some tests and told me he did not have cancer, and said to change his diet, but to no avail. I started giving Bene-Bac to him every other day, approx 1/2 gram of gel. His stool improved quickly. What a miracle.After time, his appetite improved and he gained weight. Now 2 and a half years later, near age 16, he can keep up with my younger cat. He still gets this gel every other day.When I apply this, I use a gardening glove for roses and thorns to protect my right hand and arm. The middle finger of the glove is removed, and that is where I apply the gel from the dispenser. The cat is scruffed and lifted with the left hand, while I pry the mouth open a bit from both sides using the other free right fingers of the right hand. The mouth is pried open just enough so that I can push the gel into the side of his open mouth, with that exposed right hand middle finger that the gel was applied to. My fingers stays outside of the mouth! This works for my cat, but caution is advised to use the procedure carefully, or injury could occur. I never tried to put it directly on food, since this method works for me, and my cat cooperates. This is a more sure fire procedure for me and my cat, than trying to put the applicator into the cat’s mouth, as that was hit or miss, and messy.

While I’m no vet, and so I can’t directly speak to how helpful Bene-Bac is, an actual vet did recommend this product to me for my pet rabbits. So, I imagine that it’s pretty good stuff. Plus, my rabbits enjoy the taste of it, which makes giving it to them easy. They literally beg for their probiotic.Also, I’ve bought Bene-Bac several times, directly from Amazon, and lately Amazon’s shipping of these tubes has improved. Recently, my last Bene-Bac tube not only arrived just fine, with the cap on, but also with a subtle improvement: tucked into a plastic bag to prevent any potential leaks.I mentioned that because in the past, I’ve had some problems ordering this from Amazon–not every time, but a few–the cap was left off before shipping it to me. This is a problem when it happens, because Bene-Bac is a mushy paste in the tube, but when it leaks out, sits, and is jostled, then it stops being paste. Over time, it’ll soak into cardboard or whatever else it touches.This is why a tube being shipped uncapped is a big deal: much of the product is lost. If similar leakage happens to you, then I suggest requesting either a refund or a replacement. In these cases, I requested replacements and Amazon honored them.
