Amazing!!
We rescued a dog that was extremely malnourished. After researching different ways to make your dog gain weight quickly, we tried dog protein powder, different wet foods, and goat milk, but most of this made him sick unfortunately. Then we found dyne. This is the only thing that didn’t give him diarrhea or make him vomit. Also he LOVES the taste. And as you can see, he has gained weight and already looks much better. And this is after using Dyne for only about 3 weeks. We follow the chart on the bottle for “underweight dogs” and give him about 4 tablespoons twice a day. We started with less to make sure he wouldn’t get sick then after a couple days with no issue we increased it to the full 8 tablespoons a day. Along with dyne we started feeding him a lot of food; home made food with chicken, rice, and veggies, with dyne mixed in of course. And purina pro plan senior sport which is higher in protein and calories than other dry foods. He enjoyed the dyne so much that after 1 bottle we bought a 2 pack, after that we bought the gallon! I would recommend trying the small bottle to start and if your pet tolerates it then buy the gallon! We pour the gallon into the little bottle, and keep reusing it, to make it easier to add to his food daily, rather than pouring with the gallon every day. I highly recommend this stuff!! It’s been amazing to see so much progress in a few weeks.

Sometimes my dogs will let their food sit there all day and eventually (after they are starving) they will eat it. I’ve found though with this they eat it immediately. Good stuff (according to Odin, Lakota, and HannaBella.)

Palliative care necessity
This became indispensable during the last stages of Molesy’s hospice care. He was 16 and refusing to eat; while we were waiting to see if the new last-ditch meds would help, I had to resort to gentle syringe feeding. This, along with smoothies made of chicken and rice, helped keep him nourished and stopped the weight loss. (I tried adding this to his regular food, but he said no.)He wasn’t a fan of the flavor, but it worked. The thick consistency made it easy to squeeze out slowly and gently, so he could swallow without choking. Other products we tried were much thinner and harder to administer safely. PetAg was the one my vet felt most comfortable with, so we stuck with that.A couple of notes: the thickness makes it VERY sticky, so be prepared to wash your dog’s face, especially if they have long hair. Also, the vanilla smell is very striking, so if you’re nursing a hospice dog be aware that you might develop a conditioned response and be unable to stand the scent of vanilla for a while after your dog no longer needs this product.
