Great Lightweight Ramp for Older Dogs
I bought this for my elderly Chihuahua. He injured his back leg and soon developed arthritis. The vet wanted to minimize him using stairs in general. He sometimes has a rough time coming up and down the front porch stairs, so I thought this item might work for us, and it does! It does not provide enough grip on its own so I bought a 5’x1′ roll of outdoor carpet from Lowes and used PL caulking to glue it to the ramp. I cut the carpet in the middle so that it can still be folded up when not in use. The slope of the ramp is gentle enough that, after a few treats, he was up and down it without any apparent pain. Unfortunately there is still a step up into the house itself that I can’t do anything about, but at least this reduces the amount of jumps he has to make. The ramp has rubber feet on the top and bottom to reduce slipping, keeping it in place. This would work well for many applications like getting in an out of a car, going up a few stairs, or getting onto a couch. It’s nice and long so that it’s not too steep. Photo is of the carpet I used.

Sturdy and Versatile, but not ideal for my arthritic old man!
In the search for solutions to assist our furry companions, the Folding Pet Ramp presents itself as a promising option for aiding pets in accessing elevated surfaces. While its sturdy construction and practical design offer potential benefits for many, my experience with a senior, arthritic dog yielded mixed results.Let’s start with the positives. The Folding Pet Ramp boasts a robust build that inspires confidence in its ability to support pets of various sizes. Its foldable design makes it easy to store and transport, while its non-slip surface provides added security during use. Assembling and adjusting the ramp is straightforward, adding to its convenience. However, despite its apparent sturdiness, the ramp didn’t meet the needs of my 14-year-old, 70 lb cattle dog with arthritic hips. While he initially attempted to use it, the incline proved to be too steep for his comfort, causing him hesitation and anxiety. Despite my efforts to encourage him, he struggled to navigate the ramp safely.Ultimately, I made the decision to return the ramp, recognizing that it wasn’t the right fit for my pet’s specific needs. However, I can see its potential for other pets, particularly those who are less timid or have less severe mobility issues. For owners of smaller or more agile dogs, the Folding Pet Ramp could be a convenient and practical solution for helping them access elevated surfaces with ease.In conclusion, while the Folding Pet Ramp offers sturdy construction and convenience, it may not be suitable for pets with significant mobility challenges, such as arthritis. However, for owners of more agile or timid dogs, it could be a valuable tool for providing them with safe and easy access to elevated surfaces. As with any pet product, it’s essential to consider your pet’s individual needs and limitations before making a purchase.

Easy to use ,you will need to train your dog to use it safely . he is almost used to it.
Well made strong works good even for a big rottweiler ,limited slippage its wet when he uses it mostly .You will have to introduce your dog how to use it . They can be skittish at first untill he feels comfortable using it . I am using it for my dog to get in and out of a three ft deep pool . He loves the pool and this is easiest way to get in or out . If you dont get your dog used to it he will not be steady enough to use it without slipping . He has to get used to it . Good product fast delivery .

    Works but surface is slippery
We got this to help our adult Lab (70+pounds) get in/out of our truck. Pros: great price, seems sturdy, is exactly as pictured, and folds so it is easy to move. The only negative I have is that the surface is slippery. It has ridges, but it is smooth plastic so even with the ridges our dog loses his footing a little and slips if he walks/runs quickly (not enough to fall, but it makes him nervous). I like the ramp so am planning to just add some carpet strips or something to help him have more secure footing. Overall it is a good ramp at a good price.

    Great
Was too slippery for my dog when I first got it so I picked up some carpet to add onto it. Now he will get on it. We’re playing with his treats to get him used to it and doing great so far. Needed it for my back porch, which has very high steps And think he gets going to work out great since I put carpet on it is perfect. Very portable which comes in handy.

Works best for a dog 50 lbs or lighter.
I used this for a 70 pound elderly dog. She was my families best friend and she deserved all the doggy accessories available. This did work but it was a bit tricky for her to balance on while getting into the car. For a younger pooch I would recommend. But I think a wider ramp is needed for the wise seasoned dogs of the world.

You get what you pay for
Got it for our 70lb dog that had TTA surgery last summer and is getting another this month. This ramp is cheap and is not stable enough for him without human support. It doesn’t anchor, the folding seam doesn’t lock, and it’s so slippery we had to add tread from Home Depot. It’s cheap and it will work if he has a harness on so we can help support him for getting in and out of the truck, but won’t leave him alone with it.

    Animal Jack
[Disclaimer: The ramp has been covered with carpet. It comes without carpeting.]This ramp is very well-made, and I recommend it. My only suggestion is that if you buy this, put some light-colored shag carpet on the surface with carpet adhesive so your animal can see that it stands out against dark interiors and that it is a safe walking assist. Plastic walkways are slippery to a dog’s nails and traction is poor, unless you modify the walking surface. You’ll likely need to do this BEFORE you try it out the first time, as once an animal has balked at such a device, they’ll not want to try it, again, and you’ll end up having to push and pull your pooch into your vehicle. It folds up easily and will fit between the front and back seats on the floor until it’s needed, again. Or put in in back of your SUV, etc. Store it vertically in your garage with the pivot point that allows you to fold it up pointing to the ceiling. It will stand by itself if you separate the two sections a few inches by hand at the floor.

Was too steep for back of a Tacoma. Probably suitable for a small suv. Would definitely n Ed to add some kind of traction…carpet tiles or similar. Surface is slippery. Returned

La idea es bueno pero no practico demasiado corto y empiñada no aguanta el peso de un perro grande

There is no grip on the bottom to keep it from sliding on hardwood or tile floors and there is no grip for my dog feet when walking up the ramp, it’s hard plastic with ridges but still very slippery. It grips on carpet ok but I wouldn’t recommend this ramp…very disappointed.

Quality seems alright. It’s light but sturdy. I sent it back because it was too slippery for my dog. Going to try a ramp with a different surface. I saw one review that suggested adding carpet. That seems like it might be a good fix.
