Keeping my dog safe while in a vehicle is very important
Keeping my dog safe and secure while in any of our vehicles is extremely important to me. You will notice in the included pictures, I have attached the safety buckle to my one dog’s car harness. In my primary vehicle, I have a doggy seat for her, but we have several other vehicles. In those vehicles, usually, she will sit on my lap, which really isn’t safe for my dog or for me! This safety belt will allow me to link her car harness right to the seat belt in the truck or other cars, insuring that a quick stop, or, heaven forbid, an accident, I can be confident that my dog won’t fly around the car.This safety belt will also be very handy during those times when I have another dog with me that needs to be secured while in my vehicle. I can have my dog secured in her safe seat, while a larger dog (or even 2 since this is a set of 2) can be secured in my back seat.These safety belts will work for any size dog (the dog preferably needs to be in a harness made for vehicle safety), and they work in all three of my vehicles. The webbing of the straps appear very strong, and the clips seem quite sturdy. I feel confident that a dog in a car harness attached to the locking mechanism of the vehicles seat belt will be safe and secure while riding with me in any of my vehicles.I’ve pointed out the slide on one of the safety belts to illustrate what is used to change the length of the safety belt. Both belts have a minimum length of 17″ and a maximum length of 20″. The size of the dog, and where the locking part of the vehicles built in safety belt is located, will determine how long or short the safety belt needs to be.The safety belts come with product instructions so you can be more secure with taking your dog with you in your vehicle.Along with the two safety belts, there is also a black collapsible bowl, with a carabiner to attach the bowl to your dog’s leash, your purse or backpack. I’ve shown the bowl both fully open, and collapsed flat.

They fit and work well with standard seatbelt buckles
There were 2 bungee mini leashes in my order, which also came with a small silicone collapsable pet bowl with a metal clip attached. These mini-leashes have a bungee strap sewn inside of the leash about halfway across it’s length. This bungee effect should help decrease risk of injury that might otherwise occur without the bungee effect being present. Despite this fact, I still would not recommend using this product with a normal dog collar, as a sudden forceful impact has potential to cause neck injury when attached to a collar around a dog’s neck. Instead, I would recommend use of this item with a dog harness. While still not perfectly without risk, I also realize nothing is ever entirely risk free. This way, at least the risk wouldn’t be to the dog’s neck.We got this product for our large dog as an extra method of dog travel safety. I do generally like the concept of these bungees when used with a harness, since it’s just not practicle or reasonably possible to seatbelt a dog into a car as if they are a person. While not a perfect solution, it’s better than the alternative, in my opinion. Plus, the materials used do appear to be of decent level quality, strong, and durable. However, they are not indestructable. So if your dog likes to chew on things, do keep a vigilant watch when using these bungees until you are sure how your dog will react to it. I also appreciate that it comes with a travel pet bowl.5 out of 5 stars.

Elastic Seatbelt
This is a decent elastic seatbelt for dog harnesses in the car. Elasticism is great because it helps reduce impulse from sudden stops. For me, I always put down the back seats and use carabiners to hook the seatbelt hooks to the seat hooks rather than seatbelt slots. This also allows me to strap cargo down in the back, such as my cooler, when I go grocery shopping. It allows me to get away with a bit of spirited driving without the cooler dancing around in the back.The only two things I’d have liked to see is a thicker clasp, and metal adjustment slider. I’ve had thicker ones, which were strong enough to withstand the husky pull — I’m a little hesitant about this one. The seat belt harnessing isn’t just for harnessing your dog from accidents IN the car, but also from preventing the accident of the dog darting out of the car. My 70 lb husky has broken some of these types of seatbelts from the fabric ripping (yes, he’s THAT strong willed) along with the adjuster. I hope this clasp holds up, but it’s definitely smaller than all of the other ones I’ve tried.
