My best impulse buy
This is the best dog accessory I’ve ever purchased. My dogs LOVE IT. It holds up to the Texas sun and weather and gives them a place to get out of the sun while still being able enjoy the yard. (They’re indoor pups, but they love porch naps.) My only regret is that I wish I’d bought a smaller one–I bought the 48″ version, and my friends are able to curl up in it with the dogs. We’ve also brought it inside and thrown a dog bed on it, making it an even bigger hit with our larger pup. If it ever craps out, we’ll definitely buy another.

Pros:-These are really great for providing shade and rain protection for an outdoor dog.-I was very impressed by how strong and well built the base is. It takes some serious muscle to stretch the floor across the poles, and the velcro is very heavy duty.-The weight of the base and the shape of the top make it hard to blow over or away during a windy day or a stormCons:-The way that the canopy attaches to the base is absolutely terrible. It uses standard flexible tent poles to curve across to the corners, but there is no locking mechanism to secure the poles into the base. The only ‘securing’ mechanism is a very flimsy, thin plastic clip on a very thin and flimsy piece of elastic at the corners. A tiny amount of chewing or even just pulling by a pet will destroy these elastic and plastic clips, and then the top will not stay secured to the base. It’s a really unfortunate and very major design flaw.If you have the tools and are handy, you can drill holes in the corner poles on the base part and install some set screws to pressure-secure the tent poles to the base poles. Then no amount of tugging, biting, or pulling will get the tent poles apart from the base. You can also replace the crappy plastic clips and elastic with some thin gauge steel cable and stainless steel securing hardware and you will be good to go. It’s just a shame that you need to spend several hours and another $20-30 on fixing a product that is arguably so expensive to start with.

Very sturdy, nice looking, assembles easily. My only problem is I had hoped the cover was big enough to keep rain off my cat when he sits in it. Itâs not. The canopy is much smaller than the seat area. However, my cat likes it. Sits in it and underneath it.

I donât allow my dog on any furniture. When we are outside i wanted something he can lay on and yet be protected by the elements. He loves this product!!! i find him hanging out on it all the time. the shade provides sun and rain protection. this is a sturdy product

Patio Favorites For My Cats
I own a 30″ and a 24″ elevated bed and it seems that there is always a cat in one of them. The elevation helps them stay cool in the summer and the canopy is especially important for shade on a hot Colorado day. And the service that PawHut provides is astonishing. The canopies for these beds were damaged in a Colorado hail storm and when I inquired if replacements were available for purchase I was greeted with a reply within hours. Free replacements because I was in the warranty period. Thank you very much I will be checking out other PawHut products in the future.

It is okay
Dog loved it. Only bad part is that the instructions were not helpful. One of the legs does not stay on. Falls off. After 5months; it is already bending in the middle. My husky is 55lbs. I bought it because of the shade top, but if it is in the sun does not shade well.
