This is a great option for elder dogs. Easy for them to walk up and stores smaller than I expected. Great find, would recommend.

Very Sturdy
This is sturdy. But it’s also very heavy. I wanted something that would hold up in wet weather. A wood ramp wouldn’t work and I didn’t think would be sturdy enough for a big German Shepherd. But be very careful. My ramp has welded spots and sharp edges I cut myself on. I used alot of duct tape to cover the rough edges. I found the small lock difficult to use.

I am no chemist so I cannot explain why this product smells so bad upon opening. Itâs mainly just aluminum and skateboard grip tape. The smell is like rubber and cigarette smoke.The ramp is fairly lightweight and sturdy. It is secure as long as you do not exceed the recommended height elevation and animal weight. There is no way to lock it when extended so be careful when using. Also watch the folding and opening because of the metal which could pinch fingers.There is a small bit of webbing on each side riveted into the ramp. Attached to the webbing is a ring on one side and a latch on the other so that it can be secure (though not tightly) when closed. There is also a handle made of rubber that is attached to webbing and riveted on. I can see these components wearing out over time.The overall look is utilitarian. It is not a polished product. There are several weld joints on it. The price with the 20 off coupon seems average for such a product.We had thoughts of using this as a dog ramp for the bed but it is too slippery on it. It is best for a surface wherein the top can lay flat, like a car.

It works!
I ordered this ramp thinking to myself “there no way this thing can stay stable with a dog walking on it” but it has! I have two very large dogs, one 80lbs and one 110lbs. They walk up and down this ramp without it budging. I love that it’s foldable and can fit easily in the back of my SUV. My dogs can jump up just fine, but it’s better for them to use a ramp so they can enter my vehicle in a calm state. It did take some time to teach them that the ramp is safe. My dogs are Great Pyrenees and very cautious. Once they figured it out though, there was no going back! I highly recommend this ramp to anyone who wants to make entering and exiting their vehicle a little easier for their pets.

Excellent Choice for Solid, & I Mean Solid Aluminum, Industrial Grade, Construction, Value & Use.
The Panther “Armor” Foldable Aluminum Dog Ramp is exactly that. When they say armor, that pretty well sums it up. We ordered the regular size, which for our purpose was an excellent choice for all our vehicles. Yes, foldable, about two feet long when collapsed, it’s the same size of my satchel or briefcase. Portable and very doable for easy mobile access.Boy is it ever heavy-duty. In my opinion, you will not find a better well made ramp, made out of aluminum. When they say the ramp is made for small and large dogs up to 240lbs, they mean it. I personally walked up it and it held my weight nicely. I weigh 245 lbs..We have two German shepherds, which one is getting up in his years, and if you are like us, these dogs become one of our kids, and we have seven children, thus, we know. It took a few times for Hunter to grasp the concept of walking up it, but, because of his frail condition, he figured it out.IMPORTANT TO KNOW (see picture): Because said ramp is extremely well built, has a locking mechanism too. However, as stated, it is built of solid aluminum, thus, when you close it, be very, very careful of the placement of your hands, fingers, or even floors, or furniture being in the way. For myself, at 67 years old, I’m still pretty good at half speed. But, half speed isn’t enough. Once these hinges start to close, and gravity and time is not on you side, and your web of your hand is between said closure, you will learn not to do that again.Again, said ramp was our best choice when we needed the extra comfort for our aging furry, family member: Hunter.

Lightweight well designed ramp, but doesn’t work for my small suv.
This ramp is extremely well designed. They have reinforced all of the metal connections with extra solder, and it’s made of lightweight, but sturdy aluminum. They have a non-slip textured surface on the ramp, and when you’re finished, it folds in half, and has a latch to secure the closedbpoaition, and can be easily carried by the handle. This thing is super sturdy. I stood on it without a problem. I have a big dog (90 lbs), and this ramp is wide enough for him, so the width is great, not to wide and not to narrow. The issue I had was not with the ramp, but with the design of my car. I was hoping to use the ramp to help get my old dog into the back seat. On my small suv, the back doors do not open far enough to allow the ramp to hook on the seat. I think this ramp will work great for most vehicles. I also tried it with my brothers truck, but it was much too high and created too steep of an incline for my old dog. If it were maybe a bit longer, the incline wouldn’t have been so steep, but for most dogs, I think this size would be fine. Just know if you have an extremely tall vehicle, it may be a little steep. I wish this would’ve worked for me, because the quality and design of this product is excellent. So I definitely would recommend it to others.
