Works great
This works great as long as I am diligent about using it. There is another review out there that says it is for front teeth only, and that is incorrect. You apply it to the front OF the teeth (cheek side), not the back of the teeth (tongue side). Definitely slows down the buildup of tartar and extends the time between dental cleanings.

Kills Bad Doggie Breath!!
After our two dogâs dental surgery 2 years ago we got this and use it once a week on each dog religiously. No pulled teeth since and no bad breath since! Do not sleep on this product!! I wish we had access to this 15 years ago!!! No taste, odor and itâs so simple to use and my pups love teeth day! Just spread it on their teeth like peanut butter, lol.

The Absolute Best Dental Product on the Market!
I have used this product on our dogs since the Veterinary Oral Health Council.org first recommended it. My Cavalier Spaniels, in particular, have terrible teeth. Despite regular brushing and vet cleanings, as they got older, most of my dogs lost many teeth. After starting them on daily brushing with CET toothpaste plus the weekly use of Ora-Vet, the improvement was amazing! Our new vet could not believe how easy it was to scrape off the tarter when he did the first dental on my current Cavalier! I had been brushing her teeth since I got her, then began using Ora-Vet weekly after she was spayed at about 6 months old. I wanted to wait until she had all her adult teeth. While the VOHC.org has replaced Ora-Vet with another product, I do not use it because then you cannot give your dog chew treats or chew toys meant to help dental issues. I will stick with what works!

oravet gel
the price was the best that included shipping. I have been using this on my two shelties and while we’d all like to think it will absolutley prevent any plaque and tarter buildup between dental / vet annual or semi annual exams………… I have stopped scraping their teeth which they did not enjoy and believe it has reduced the tarter….. I use it weekly, as with any program regular weekly use, applied correctly after daily brushing for best results. If you won’t make the time and use it correctly, weekly, wtih daily brushing then your money is wasted………the question for you, how much does your pet’s dental and physical health mean to you?. It is all related.

Good stuff
Just like what you get at your vetâs office, only cheaper. Arrived several days early, too.

Easy To Use
Instead of daily, brushing our cat’s teeth (I know that I need to do so, but the cat’s just aren’t on board with it!), this weekly ritual makes it easy to take better care of their teeth – especially after a dental cleaning.

Helps when you can’t brush everyday!
First of all, if your dog doesn’t like having his teeth brush or having things inside of his mouth he might not like this! This is really helpful after a professional cleaning you apply to the teeth with the applicator and it creates a seal for a week now obviously if you’re brushing the dog’s teeth it will last longer but I recommend doing this for people that don’t or can’t brush their dog’s teeth everyday especially for smaller dogs that tend to have more plaque accumulation.

My 9 year old terrier / poodle mix has bad teeth. And she will NOT chew on anything …
My 9 year old terrier / poodle mix has bad teeth. And she will NOT chew on anything – we’ve tried it all. We use all kinds of things to help her with dental care including yearly cleaning, and we are very hopeful with OraVet. We placed the treat in a dog bowl where she normally gets her food and left her to it. The first few minutes she played with it then took it into her bed and tried to ‘bury’ it. And just now finished off her first one after about 15 minutes of introducing it to her (a miracle!). If these help her teeth, I will personally hug the human that came up with these.

Our dog unfortunately has a chronic oral condition and is being cared for by a specialist dental veterinarian. She has had to have some teeth removed and needs daily brushing and regular veterinary cleanings to prevent plaque buildup in the hopes of keeping the teeth that she still has. This product was highly recommended by her dental vet as part of her treatment plan.
