Prolonged our baby’s life
Our German Shepherd-mix had hit 15 years when his hip dysplasia worsened. We struggled to keep him upright when taking him outside and when he ate, sometimes straining our backs. He was mentally sharp, but his body was deteriorating. This ‘vest’ allowed us to pick him up safely and without pain for him, and ease for us. It’s very durable and tough, but lightweight. It has velco on strips on the top if you want to add patches, and was adjustable when he lost weight. Our only challenge was that it rode up high on his wee-wee, and it caused urine to soak into the vest. I cut a V shape in that part to open up the area, then reinforced it with needle and thread. The material is tough – I thought that I’d have to use wire cutters to get through it, and it bent the needle when stitching. No way could this one fall apart. I had put it in the washer and dryer a few times, and it consistently looked great. We had to say goodbye to our boy, but plan to use this brand in the future for our other dog if needed. Highly recommended.

Excellent product, no regrets, but not able to use at the momentâ¦
We arenât able to effectively use this harness with our dog at her current stage of recovery. But giving it 5 stars and keeping it on hand for when our girl progresses a little more. No regrets in purchase.Very well made, well thought design, and high quality. Worth every penny. It is a little stiff, but that was kind of the point in the added support. Overall fit was excellent and very easy to adapt to dogs exact figure. If I could change one thing in the design – it would be the length of the hip straps. (Add another two inches on the large harness hip straps, please!!). But I donât think that is affecting our use of it.Our current issue is dog related, not product related. She recently suffered partial paralysis of the rear legs. At the same time she was diagnosed with severe, chronic hypoglycemia which is affecting her overall strength as we get it controlled. And seems to have gained a front paw injury that went unnoticed in her initial exams. SO⦠she has started playing passive resistor (rightfully so) with any walking therapy at the moment. And just goes completely dead weight and lays down when we put any kind of harness on her. And although this can be used to carry a dead weight, resisting dog that isnât even trying to stand⦠itâs not the most efficient or comfortable for that. As soon as she slumps her hind quarters to try to lay back down, the hip straps slide out of position. They are best positioned when the dog is standing (and then stay in place). But when a dog is at that level of resisting, it then takes another pair of hands to reposition the hip straps while the other person is âdanglingâ the unwilling dog in standing position. BUT⦠this is a personal dog issue. Not a product issue. The product is amazing, but What our dog needs right now is a 4-wheel doggy wheelchair which we have ordered. We are keeping this because when she does start using her front legs again (at all) this will be amazing for walking therapy. She was at that point at the time we ordered it; but her protests and front paw injury werenât discovered until later. The fit is truly spectacular. As is durability and quality. Hip straps: Our girl is a 9-10 yr old, overweight, âStandard American Bulldogâ. So she has a figure similar to a pitbull, but much larger even aside from her extra weight. Sheâs probably closer to the size of a yellow lab – but not quite as tall and with naturally wider/stockier hips and deep chest. And sheâs a very chubby girl on top of that. She weighs almost 90 lbs. We ordered a large harness and it fits beautifully; all the straps extended with room to spare on the main part of the harness. The hip straps âfitâ when extended to the ends of the straps, no room to spare. But I feel like another inch might make it more comfortable. And if nothing else, a few extra inches would make it easier to adjust since it wouldnât be at straps end. But, for most large breed dogs in the same weight range, I donât think that would be an issue. I think itâs an over-size bulldog issue. The three handles are amazing for being able to give the added assistance of lift to the dog exactly where they need it. If you have a dog that is at a level of cooperating at all, then this would be amazing for walks, stairs, and car loading. If your large dogâs only goal at the moment is to lay back down and go limp until itâs over⦠ð¤¦ð»ââï¸. You simply have bigger issues, as do I.Anyhoo: I give it a well earned 5 stars. At the moment, using it on our dog is like trying to make a human thatâs paralyzed on one side and has a broken leg on the other use crutches instead of a wheelchair. So we are getting a full wheelchair, but keeping this on hand for when our dog is ready for âcrutchesâ.

Works well.
We have a 7-year-old German Shepherd with some neurological problems. This harness is great for those days that he has difficulty with balance and walking. He doesn’t seem to mind wearing it throughout the day (we take it off at night) and is able to do his business with the harness on without soiling himself or the harness. It’s a bit clumsy to put on and take off, but provides support in all the right places to help minimize falls and injuries that result from them. It’s a great help with stairs and with getting in/out of a car. On most days, the harness works well enough without the rear leg stirrups. Well enough that we rarely use them. With the vest on for extended periods, make sure your dog isn’t overheating while wearing it. Our GSD will occasionally ask to go out and then just lays in the snow in his vest even though he wasn’t panting or showing other signs of overheating. This tells me he is warmer than he preferred to be and it’s time to take the harness off if we’re not going anywhere.Good product. Seems to be well made. Takes some time to get adjusted and fitted, but once it’s set you won’t have to do it again. Time will tell how well it wears. (We’ve had it a little over a month.)

Best Lift Harness weâve ever had!
We have tried many lift harnesses for our large labs over the years. Burned thru so many that wore out too quickly or were difficult to use or simply did not provide the right support & made our labs feel nervous. This harness is so supportive, so durable & our labs feel much more secure & safe. This will be our go to lift harness from now on! Adjusts easily, very functional, easy to walk, buckles easy, easy to lift.

Lifesaver for my old dog and my back
I have a 14 year old, 70 pound black lab mix. He has arthritis and suffers from bouts of idiopathic vestibular syndrome (aka Old Dog Disease). When it strikes, he is often unable to get up on his own or walk because his balance is affected. Using his usual walking harness was hard on him and me. I ordered this harness and what a difference! I was able to lift him up without much strain and help him maintain his balance while he walked. For the several days that it took his symptoms to clear, I was able to get him up and moving every few hours, so he didn’t lie in one place all day. Now, I’m happy to say were taking our morning walks again, albeit at a little slower pace. The harness is very well made, with lots of adjustment room in the sizing, just make sure you measure your dog and follow the sizing guidelines. It is also well designed and he could do all of his business outside without removing the harness. In addition, the multiple grab handles make lifting him in and out of my jeep a snap. If you’re in a similar situation with your dog, get this harness. You won’t regret it. It’s been a lifesaver for my pal.
