Dogs LOVE these and are reaping the benefits!
I absolutely love this item! One of the things I appreciate the most about this product is that it delivers exactly as described – and most important: The dogs LOVE them and they are super good for them. I am excited to see how they work on their dry skin this winter. Plus – it is truly excellent quality!I think it offers great value for the price and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a get a great item at an excellent price.

Needs a fur-child-proof lid.
Ok so I ordered these through Vine because I thought they’d help my miniature rat terrier, Papaya with itchiness and dry skin. We rescued her from out of state (a state more humid than here). Unfortunately, Montana is a very dry state and so Papaya struggles with dry skin issues:all of her fur has fallen off the tip of her tail because she bites at it. She is constantly red and itchy, and scratching herself. I usually give her benadryl which stops the itch in the moment, but does nothing for the long term. I hoped the fish oil would help in the long term with the dry skin, redness, and hair loss/regrowth.I DID NOT get to find out!Papaya got to try them out for about 4 days total. Unfortunately, My “Frug” (French Bulldog-Pug cross), Hopper, knocked the first container to the ground and unscrewed the lid and ATE THE ENTIRE CONTAINER of treats. The good news is that 1) they are apparently delicious and 2) didn’t need veterinary intervention. There was no over dose warning on the label, and after reading the ingredients just to be sure, didn’t think we needed veterinary intervention. 3) Said French Bulldog did NOT get sick in any way shape or form from eating thr entire container if treats. However, since Vine gave me the item for free for my honest review, I couldn’t very well review them honestly if I didn’t have any of the product left to review. Therefore, I bought another container out of pocket, so I could leave an honest review…Had the new container just 2 days, was extra sure to screw the lid on tight and put it up out of reach from Hopper. The little jerk is too smart for his own good!!! …yep you got it! He got the entire new container down and got the lid unscrewed and ate another entire container!!!!So the plus side is that they apparently tast great (too great), dogs seem to enjoy them, and they do not cause any sort of stomach upset. However, I personally probably will not be buying them going forward unless there is a design change to the container (like a child proof lid of some type that requires a press down and turn) because at $25ish a container, that’s a little steep in price for one of my dogs to be so obsessed with them, that he will do anything he can to knock them down and get to the container and ear the entire thing. Basically, because of him we’ve gone though $50 in treats in under a week. I just can’t keep doing that. If I buy these in the future, I’m definitely going to have to put them in a different container that Hopper can’t get open….It is a shame though, because I really do think that they were helping Papaya already. In the short time she used them, her redness and itchiness has seemed to be reduced.

Tasty but crumbly
I like the idea of giving my dogs fish oil to help their coat and skin. These treats have some real great ingredients in them, and the dogs love them. I have one that will eat anything, and one that is picky with the supplements, and he likes these just fine, so that is super important! It can’t help at all if they won’t eat it! I ordered these without knowing just how long they would last, as the posting does not show how many per dog based on size. I will save you the hassle, as nowhere in the posting does it state the chew per pound ratio. AND…I needed a magnifying glass to read the ratio table, it was printed so tiny on the container! Dogs 25# or less get 2 chews per day. Dogs 26-75# get 4 chews per day. Dogs 76# and up get 6 chews per day. So, I have a 2 per day and a 4 per day dog, so at 6 chews per day, this container will last me 16 days. Ugh! Not the best value, in my opinion, especially when you factor in that a decent amount of the container was crumbled upon arrival. I tried to salvage some of the smaller pieces, but getting at them with just my fingers made the smaller pieces just crumble all the more until they are totally not salvageable. I don’t think I will be getting these again, as I cannot afford to buy a product that crumbles so easily that it is useless.

Popular with the dogs, which is half the battle!
My 5 dogs all enjoy these and take them eagerly, like a treat, which is a win. Beyond that, they have very healthy skin and coats, although currently in need of a bath and a good brushing, and these seem to be maintaining the quality of their coats. My vet says the ingredient list is spot-on, and that this should be a healthy supplement, which is good enough for me!

Pup loves it. But chews are too soft.
I love the health benefits of these chews. And my pup loves the taste. But I canât get over how soft these are. Any amount of pressure will cause these to utterly disintegrate. So theyâre not a good option to grab and go. I personally wouldnât get it again.

Good fish oil supplement
I have four dogs that I give Omega 3 supplements to and three of them will eat the chews readily. The fourth one is a bit picky and will not take it as a chew, but will eat it if it is crumbled into her regular dog food. My vet recommends giving Omega 3 fatty acids as my dogs get older for overall health and these are a pretty good way to do it, compared to pills or liquid forms.

bottom of the jar was all powder
not sure how many actual chews were in this because the bottom of the container over 1″ up from the bottom was just pure powder. the dogs loved it, but I noticed absolutely zero overall improvement in my GSDs skin issues. In fact, something in this must irritate his allergies because they actually got a ton worse.

Healthy treats
Because I’m not willing to try them myself, all I have is circumstantial evidence. But my pup seems to like these fishy smelling treats a lot. I am assuming this based on how high she jumps when I bring out the container. Now these are not the type of treats that can be kept in my pocket to reward good behavior as they are rather crumbly and would be reduced to powder if I did. I feed my puppy 1 tab a day and (more circumstantial evidence) I have had friends comment on how shiny her coat is lately. Now, could this be a result of this fish oil dietary supplement that she’s been eating for the past few weeks? My feeling is this product hasn’t hurt her at all and maybe has contributed to her healthy-looking coat. And I appreciate her joyful reaction whenever she’s about to receive one of these treats, and that’s worth a lot to me.
