Great quality bed!
This is the second bed I have from this company. The first has been great quality, and is of the type with the raised lip around the edge. It’s held up perfectly and the dog and cats love it. This one is flat, more for inside a kennel cage. The use case is for the car on the back seat; I use one of the the large seat protectors that extends the back seat area with a flat platform for more moving around room, but unfortunately it then becomes less comfortable to lay/sit on. This fits perfectly in that space.The egg-crate foam bed came packaged separately from the cover, with instructions to let it air for 24 hours before use. I didn’t smell too much chemical/production smell on the foam, but I let it air as instructed. After a day, it had no discernible odor. Installation of the cover was simple enough; the covers from this company are well-made, with double zippers, good sturdy stitching around all the edges and durable material. There are small rubber bumps on the bottom to help keep it from sliding around as much. The material of the cover feels thick, and should survive the washing machine just fine. I do find that pet bed covers last longer if you hang them to dry rather than run it through the dryer; it’s not so much the material that wears out, but the zippers seem to wear out/malfunction if you heat them up after multiple cycles. I haven’t run this bed or the first one through wash cycles yet, but previous beds from other companies have had an issue after a few wash/dry cycles.Great quality bed with good firm support. Animals (cats and dog) like it, and it’ll work great on the backseat for trips. As I mentioned, second bed from this company and both have been great products. Would recommend!
