Only food that my dogs do well with
I have two dogs who get upset stomachs from many different kinds of food. This is the only food that they have both consistently been great on. They are both over 7 years old so I like that this is made specifically for their needs as “senior” dogs. I definitely think the quality is great for the price.

This food has literally saved the life of our 14 year old Dalmatian. Throughout her adult life she had been fed NUTRO Large Breed Dry Dog Food, Lamb and Rice, which is a terrific dog food, and she has always loved it. Over a month ago she started throwing up about an hour or so after eating. What she threw up was the completely intact kibbles. Considering her age, we were sure there was something terribly wrong with her although she was constantly hungry. Before we could get an appointment with the vet, we started feeding her the good old stand-by for sick dogs — cooked chicken mixed with rice. She liked that, but it wasn’t something we could keep her on indefinitely. So we stopped by Pet Club (although we had been purchasing Nutro Large Breed from Amazon) and asked for help from the manager. When we told him her age, he said she should be on the Senior diet. It seems her teeth are no longer able to chew the Large Breed, so she was swallowing the kibbles whole until it reached a point where she wasn’t digesting this very hard food. We purchased a 5# bag of the Senior to see if it would make a difference. I gave her one kibble when we got home and she was thrilled to get her old food back (guess it tastes the same as what she was used to) except these are smaller, much less hard and donut-shaped. She crunched it up and looked for more.Of course, we had to start her back gradually and wean her off the chicken and rice. She has been strictly on Senior for the past 3 days and we have our frisky pup back. The 30# bag of Nutro Senior arrived today from Amazon. I hope they keep on carrying it — so much easier than wrestling such a heavy bag home from the pet store.

My senior dog loves it
We just switched to this from our other nutro brand for our senior dog. She absolutely loves it! I was worried it was going to take time for her to adjust but she had no issues at all.

My animals love it.
We just got a female Pitbull rescue puppy to go along with our three chihuahuas. My wife picked up a small bag of Nutro which I gave to everyone. They gobbled up whatever I put before them. Just reordered a large bag of their adult dog food. Seems like it’s a good thing for everyone. BTW, I’ve seen no issues with digestion or elimination.

Go to dog food! Excellent quality, my dogs love it, their coats are nice and shiny, they are very healthy and the price is pretty much the same everywhere

I have been feeding my dogs the lamb and rice flavor of this brand since they were puppies. We have switched to the senior food as they are getting old now. They have had absolutely no medical issues and they’re 10 and 11 now… Maybe good genetics or maybe the dog food?? I feel like their fur has always been nice and soft and shiny.
