Exactly the same as Vet’s office! Works well!!
This is exactly the same product as purchased from my last Vet appt awhile back, except half the price. When I ran out, I decided to try Amazon. I thought i might as well give it a try to see if it was the same… it is!! Personally, I don’t know why some reviewers have leftnegative reviews. The product I got is fresh (not hard to squeeze out of tube at all). My cat actually likes the taste of the paste so all I do is squeeze the paste into my palm & he licks it all off. He also doesn’t seem to notice when I sprinkle the capsules in his wet food. And my cat is a super senior & very picky with food. Some reviewers said there are no directions on the box, but perhaps they are confused because the directions are printed right on the box AS WELL AS “give as per recommendation of your Vet”. Easy enough to understand. And that should ALWAYS be done anyway because the vet would know whether or not your cat actually needs it.This is a great product that is normally only given per prescription, so this is an easier way to get the same product quickly without waiting for a prescription. I trust my Vet, & she highly recommends Proviable! I went through one course with my cat awhile back, & it worked like a charm. Because my baby has cancer, he may need to on proviable long term, which is why I decided to try Amazon for about half the price. Same exact product, just more economical. Nothing but the best for my baby.

Excellent solution for kitty diarrhea
A few weeks ago my cat was having diarrhea, so I took her to the vet and they recommended I give her Proviable for a week to see if it helped. After having used it as instructed, giving my cat the paste for five days and the capsules for ten days, I found that this stuff really works. My cats diarrhea cleared up and she is back to normal. But giving her the paste was not easy and I had to use a creative method to get her to eat it.The package consists of a 15 mL syringe containing a paste version of the probiotic along with 10 capsules of a powered version. The stated dosage is 1 mL of the paste twice to three times a day, and one capsule per day until the whole package is finished. The syringe allows for relatively easy dispensing of the paste through the specially designed measuring system where you simply spin the plastic ring to the next notch, then push on the plunger to squeeze out the paste in 1 mL increments. The capsules easily break open to sprinkle the powder on food. Overall the system is designed for ease of administering, but in practice it was much more difficult to give the paste to my cat.On the advice of my vet and friends that have cats, I wrapped her in a blanket to immobilize her to make giving her the paste easy, but as I tried to insert the syringe in her mouth and squeeze the paste in, she shook her head from side to side and fought every move I made. My first attempt was an absolute failure resulting in a majority of the paste sticking to the fur on the sides of her mouth. Knowing this would be the likely outcome for every future attempt to give her the paste, I had to come up with a better solution. So rather than trying to force feed her the paste directly, I put some treats on a dish, squeezed the paste onto the treats and placed the dish in front of her. In less than a minute, she ate all the treats with the paste without any struggle, and this is how I gave her the paste for the remainder of the doses. If you are trying to give the paste to your cat and are having trouble, I suggest trying the method I used. The powder was easy as I simply sprinkled it onto wet food that I feed my cat once a day.If your cat is having mild diarrhea, I recommend trying Proviable. Of course, it is best to consult your vet before giving them probiotics as they may not work for everyone, but this is a great over-the-counter solution for minor stomach issues. And I found it to be $10 cheaper on Amazon than buying it from my vet.

Love this probiotic
My dog tends to have upset tummy a lot of the time since he is older. Every time I take him to the vet they run all these tests and tell me he is fine. Whenever I take him to the vet they overcharge me for this and tell me to just give him the kit. I got tired of paying to take him just for this kit so I started purchasing off amazon. It is definitely cheaper and it works every time. Whenever he starts to have diarrhea I give it to him and finish it off like they recommended and heâs back to normal. I definitely recommend having this on hand if your pet is one to get into things or just has upset tummy frequently. He also doesnât mind eating it, I sprinkle the capsule in his food and he eats it, only once did I see he didnât want to eat it so I put some broth in his food and that made him want to eat it.

Not cost effective for a beeeder
Iâve purchased a lot of these over the last 11 mos. I started with my vet and when I saw it was much cheaper on Amazon, I stopped wasting money at the vet for it.I did find that the pills are not the same size or count as the one I get from the vet. I donât care much about that since I was mostly giving these to the puppies. Itâs just difficult to give to pups less than 8 wks old and for the older ones, I have to buy PB pill wraps for the paste and pills. It gets very expensive when you have to get one for each dog PLUS all the pill wraps (I have 8 dogs & puppies).Itâs still a good product but if you only have one dog to use it on, Iâm usually wasting the paste. It calls for throwing out the paste after 48 – 72 hrs.

Great stuff!
Absolutely great stuff. Within hours of giving it to our pup she felt better and started eating again. This was on 3 different occasions. Will always have it on hand now.

I purchased this kit plus a 2 months supply of the capsules (separately) and I was really hopeful that this would do for my cat what combinations of corticosteroids, probiotics, glucosamine, and stomach acid inhibitors have not been able to do. I have seen no marked improvement of my cat’s frequent vomiting nor has my cat put on any weight. He has what the vet suspects to be chronic inflammation of the bowel of unknown aetiology. I have not taken him to the vet for another x-ray of his gut so I do not know if the inflammation of his colon is the same as before but, given that all his symptoms continue, I suspect that it is. On the positive side, he is no worse for the wear – the Proviable paste and the probiotic capsules were fairly palatable and caused no side effects.I am happy that so many people on this site have reported positive results – given that you have nothing to lose, I would suggest that concerned pet owners go ahead and give this product a try.
