Sneaky Burrito –
seem to be helping my dog (and suitable for dogs with food allergies and intolerances)
My poor dog. She has torn ligaments in BOTH knees and she has eosinophilic inflammatory bowel disease and some elevated liver enzymes. These last two conditions severely limit the options for knee recovery. We are doing laser treatments and I bought a ramp for her to go up and down stairs and she is getting tramadol for the pain, but my vet suggested a joint supplement as well. (Plus, she is a large breed dog so a joint supplement is a good idea in the first place.)Anyway, she’s been on Cosequin DS for a little over a month and she is doing better. I’m sure a lot of things are assisting the recovery, but I am happy with the effects of this supplement. My dog is having an easier time getting up and down and is putting more weight on her legs. (Fingers crossed we can start doggie physical therapy soon.)The other important thing is that she is not having any adverse gastrointestinal reactions to this product. Even the smallest thing can set her off (she is on expensive prescription food). But she’s been tolerating this and still has a good appetite, firm stools, etc. So if your dog has food allergies or intolerances, you can still get the benefits of a joint supplement. Please note: I am giving this to a full-grown Rottweiler, so I can basically just shove pills into the back of her mouth and she will swallow them. (Since she can’t have treats or Pill Pockets.) I am not sure how easy it would be to give this to a smaller dog.

Very helpful for my senior dog
I give this to my senior dog twice a day and it seems to bring him relief. When he is on this medication he is able to go up and down stairs, engage in play and interact with us. If he does not get his medication he is withdrawn, less active and is often cranky. I sprinkle the powder on his food, and he seems to like the flavor. If I forget to do this he stares at me until I apply the powder.

Great product
This has made amazing results in my 17 year old cattle dog. His arthritis had him not walking one day. I was carrying him around and thought he was in his last days as I couldnât have a dog who couldnât get around. My friend who works at a horse vet suggested cosequin because they see wonderful results in horses. One dose and I saw a difference. He was back to walking in 2 days. He walks very slow but at least he is able to get around on his own. A week later I filled a prescription from my vet for some arthritis meds for more relief but the cosequin had the biggest effect. I will forever use this product on my dogs as they age.

German Shepherd
I love this product and the fact that it comes in capsules that I can easily break apart and spread on my dog’s food. I mistakenly bought pills the last time and had to use a pestle every day. It was worth it because I wouldn’t use any other product.

Easy, Choke-FREE administration
This has been the easiest way to give my large dog daily joint supplements. The good thing, it works pretty well but for long term care seek vet approval; the not-so-good thing, if the dog doesn’t eat all the food the supplement is prepared in, then the proper dosage is not achieved for desired relief.

7-year-old American rat terrier with hip surgery.
Our American rat terrier required hip surgery for something I am told happens to them fairly commonly, the bones in her left hip died inside her. The surgery left her with extra efforts required to run or jump up, and quite a good limp. First time I gave her a one pill dose, she was happy running around grabbing toys. She knows the word medicine, I asked her if the medicine felt good then she communicated best she could that she was thankful. We are not yet long-term users, if it doesn’t hang in there I will get back and tell you but as for now I am very pleased even though it’s expensive…

Top notch when it comes to Cosequin
I have a senior boxer and letâs just say she has some issues with walking from time to time. I have always given her Cosequin since the joint & hip problems, as sheâs gotten older I have had to purchase Cosequin max to help her mobility. I decided to purchase this one because there are more pills and it was also cheaper. Like I said since there are more they come in pill form, so if your fur baby is not a fan of taking their medication no problem because they come in capsules!! So all you gotta do is just open them up and pour the contents on your dogs food or favorite snack/treat depending on how many they need to take (: I highly recommend this for your senior fur babies or if they just have all around hip & joint issues!!

Works
It is not a miracle cure and I should have started this earlier. My furbaby is 16 now. I see a positive difference in him and he tolerates this product well. Will order again.

Works as expected. Beware tho: they are pills; not chewable. We give the pill with peanut butter mixed with her food. When it’ll be time to buy more, I’m going to look for chewable options.
