Slows them down.
I needed these for an injured working dog. As you can see I have put it on upside down, I have also taken out the side support. I only needed the covering. These were a good value and I was able to adjust and adapt them to my needs. My working dog is determined. I’m more determined! With lots of care and this item (he was not able to get through it) he healed right up!

Wrong instructions
Well I canât ask my dog how he feels about it, but he doesnât seem to like them. They seem like they shouldnât be uncomfortable, he just dislikes wearing anything on his arms so Iâm not surprised. I am concerned because he seems to be getting agitated over it, which is making him run around more, which is the exact opposite of what I need him to do. But thatâs just how my dog is, itâs not due to the item itself.Iâm not sure what exactly the springs are for, if anything. I canât even tell if theyâre actually removable. But I honestly doubt they provide a practical purpose.I was not happy that these cost more than store-bought human wrist braces, but I canât get him to rest and he seems to have slightly injured his arm. I just need him to keep it still as much as possible and give it a little extra support for a few days so it can heal. The main issue I have with this item is that the wrong instructions were included. The instructions that it came with were for the rear leg braces, which are not the same. They are similar enough that I was able to figure out how to use them, but when I saw the instructions I initially thought I received the wrong item and requested a replacement. So I had to cancel that which was a hassle. I just wish I had the correct instructions for the actual item that I bought.Between the price, likely uselessness of the springs, and receiving the wrong instructions, I would only give this item 1-3 stars. However, I just wanted something to keep his arm still, which I think it will do, so Iâm reluctantly giving it 4 stars. But I would give it 3.5 if I could.

Keeping my dog moving!!
My bullmastiff has bone cancer in her front leg. The vet told us there is no product out there she could provide to keep her walking as the cancer progresses. This brace holds her leg tightly and provides enough support that she can keep moving. She runs all over the yard with her Great Dane buddy when she is wearing her braces. Her vet has marveled at how well she is doing and moving. She has 2 pairs of them already and I ordered a third pair. She runs into the pool and gets them soaking wet and I have to have a new pair to change into. I can’t say enough good things about this product.

Good support but wear out quickly (1-2 months).
Marginal durability.

Have to ask my dog about comfort
My large dog had a hair-line fracture. She loves to go for walks, but could not. We got these for her to take her on walks when she got better. It appears that these are helping to stabilize her foot. They do not bother her and she doesn’t seem to bother her a bit. No more trips to the vet so far.

Advertising misleading
I ordered this for my large 13 year standard poodle. She is having trouble with her right lower leg. While any other problems more serious seems to been ruled out. I search in the event Amazon sold a support brace(s). It came with two. I am certain ordering the x tea large for a large senior girl. Some how my order was changed to small. I was vigilant as a pet caregiver and seeking something to help her. While I am unsure how this was mixed up, it came with very flimsy straps and the rods were barely noticeable after it was inspected. I am a pleased Amazon customer regardless however am disappointed for my large aging and requiring little help. This time, Amazon did not come through and I have documentation of my large brace order. Be that it may, I am going to use the advertise elastic sports wrap. It is far less expensive and provides the best support. Sometimes, the easiest solution is the ideal! It is far less expensive and stays on. This is my first real disappointed with Amazon regarding good intentions for a pet struggling . Thank you for reading my sincere review. I would recommend the no stick tape and not to waste money. It appears they just sent what they had and altered my order. I would not given she is size of a mini pony.

Great product!
This has been a lifesaver! My dog somehow sprained her front leg and with the help of pain meds and this for support sheâs able to walk.

These are high quality and very well-made. The metal support inside is what really makes the difference. They can be removed for washing. Supports have a cute reflector on the ankle which does double duty when walking. Note to check the size carefully so they won’t slide on the leg. Love them!

Our 13 year old pug started to limp badly out of the blue. We were terrified that this limp was going to be the beginning of the end for her. Now, I will she hates wearing it, BUT within 2 days she was walking much better! Barely limps at all now. Itâs been about two weeks and she wears this anytime sheâs going for a walk, or to work with my husband because she gets so excited and jumps a lot. This product was a real game changer for us, more important for her. This has given us a little more time and weâre so grateful for that. Sheâs a tiny pug, so we got the xxs I believe.Itâs definitely worth the money.
