What a cool cooling pad
Think this is a wonderful idea for cats/dogs during the summer especially if you don’t have air conditioning. Also, the pattern is so cute and soft. My older cat loves to spend her days in the sunroom where it gets pretty hot on some days, and she makes good/great use of this cooling pad.

Dog barely used it
My pup barely used it. It is cool to touch at first but then heats up quickly with body heat. I now use a water filled mat that works wonders for my dog.

Yeah, well hopes that a thing will be a new wonder item rarely come to fruition. This item does transfer heat well initially, which causes it to feel cool when you touch it, but that only lasts a few minutes. Then it feels the same temperature as everything else. My cat was smarter than me. She took one look at the thing and walked away. You should too.

Works.
I bought this for my cats and I would say it works. It’s very durable and it is easy to clean. The instructions don’t tell you to do this but I get it wet then wring it out and put it in the freezer. After about ten minutes, I take it out and the cats love laying on it.

My long haired cat who usually doesnât like new things took to this immediately. Now whenever I see her she is spread across the mat like the photo. I purchased the small but might get another in the medium size. My cat is about 10 lbs for reference. Itâs been 90°+ here and I think this pad really helps. It is just silk but is cool to the touch unlike the other blankets we have in the house. Definitely recommend

Our cats seem to love this. The material is very soft and feels colder than a regular carpet. It does have a cooling effect. I will buy a couple more. I have not washed this so not sure if the same cooling effect and softness will be there after it has gone though a couple of washes. This product does not have any washing instructions. UPDATE- (6/11/2020) Our cats still love this. I machine washed and air dried. It works better on a wooden floor than on a carpeted floor. buying another one now 🙂

Lightweight
I like that the product is very lightweight which would make it cooler but I am using it outside so I’m not sure that it is really staying very cool. I set up a bed with this cooling mat inside for an outside kitty that has been hanging around for many years…I think she has someone else that takes care of her too. Her ear is tipped so she has been altered so that is good to know. She does lay on the bed but right now it is so hot and humid, she doesn’t do that as often as she did earlier in the summer and spring. This particular cooling mat may not have been made to use outdoors…not sure about that. If that is the case, I have no idea how well it works indoors.
