Life saver!
We have a 9 year old blue pit, and he has alot of skin issues. I’m going to list all of them that I can think of to hopefully help someone who was as desperate as I was to find something to help my poor baby. And to save alot of money on vet bills. He often gets bald patches, or red hot spots/bald patches. (Especially around where his collar is, and on his legs, armpits, paws/toes, under his tail, around his butt, or pretty much anywhere his skin folds over) He gets really really red raw around his genital area, and sometimes he breaks out with crusty moist bumps all over his skin. (And if you pick the crusty bump, it leaves a bald patch. He does seem very satisfied if you pick it off, lol. And I have noticed it helps quicken the process of healing and regrowing hair. I would suggest not picking all of them at once if they have several, so they don’t have bald spots all over!) Some of his bald spots became fluid-filled a couple times. (We obviously watched those very closely to make sure they didn’t get worse) He often scratches or licks at all of these things I just listed, and breaks open his skin to a bloody wound. He’s gotten really bad one time, where the wound was infected and oozing….hiding under his collar. (We also watched him closely after discovering the wound, to make sure it didn’t worsen) All these skin problems are controlled and heal up after using the spray once or twice everyday. It really seems to help soothe his itchy spots when he starts trying to scratch or rub. It has a nice and clean, fresh scent too. Even if he doesn’t cooperate to clean his wounds before using the spray…just spray it right on there and it will heal up and clean itself. It drives me nuts when he doesn’t let me clean the messier spots on him first, but keep that spray on there and it will keep it from getting worse, and he will leave it alone. If you pair this spray with Pet Honesty Chlorhexidine shampoo (with Ketoconazole) you almost never have to use it. Especially now that we know what to look for on him so it doesn’t flare up. We also use Curaseb antiseptic ear flush to clear up his ear infections and to prevent them. We’ve also learned to give him a break from his collar. I usually take it off at night or sometimes during the day when he’s laying around. Even if he isn’t flared up with any redness, I spray it every so often in his problem areas, as a prevention method. Just make sure if you spray this anywhere they are able to lick, watch them closely so they don’t lick/ingest the spray. Hope this helps someone out there. Of course, please take them to the vet if you use the spray for a couple days and it worsens. I will mention that I am going to copy & paste this review on another product, called KetoHex. They both have the exact same ingredients and even smell the same. If you read an compare ingredients on the Chlorhexidine with Ketoconazole sprays, a few of them are identical. So I just buy the cheapest one I find.

I like that this wasnât heavily perfumed. My ACD has horrible anal gland issues and this helps with her not scooting on my carpet.

Works great, the only thing is, it would be much better if it had a spray unit that made it come out like foam, the spray top makes a noise that upsets most of the dogs

I love that this product is not only antibacterial and anti fungal but also has Aloe and Vitamin E to nourish the skin. Having it in a spray bottle too is super handy and makes it easy to apply – especially if your dog usually runs away from the times they need a little treatment.

Smells Great
My dogs beard is always wet and has a tendency to smell like an old bar rag. This stuff keeps his lip folds from getting infected and he doesn’t run away from me when I use it on him.

This seems like a decent quality. It is a nice size product. I like that it is in spray form so it can be easily applied to most areas. I do have to use cotton balls for more delicate areas, but it is still easy to use. It has a slight medicine smell, if you’ve used this type of medicine you know that smell, but it isn’t overpowering and doesn’t linger for long.My dog suffers from skin issues and hot spots, allergies. This seemed to help relieve some of the itching. I did use this as intended and also I used another product as well. I used this for the antifungal and antibacterial, more like the cleaning portion since it is like the chlorhexidine. Then I also used a wound care, since my dog was having one of her worse skin irritation issues. Still it seemed to work well and help. I am very pleased.
