Best choice for heavy chewers!!!
I have a 9 month old female French Mastiff/pitbull mix, and she is a very heavy chewer! She has figured out in the past several months she can chew off the plastic components on her dog seatbelt and get loose. She has destroyed two, and started chewing on her brothers (pug) for fun I guess? This metal chain is PERFECT! It’s the correct length, and unlike the “no chew” metal wire ones, the smart dogs will chew the plastic components of those and get loose (which I read in the reviews of those kind) This being all metal, there is no chance of that! I bought one, and I will be purchasing another for my other dog so she can’t chew him free either! Great product! ð

Great for dogs that chew
I left my pit/husky puppy alone for 3 minutes and he chewed completely through his nylon seat tether, so we got this chain.I was pleasantly surprised at the weight and quality of this product. It feels substantial and doesn’t seem like it will break. We used it once so far and no issues.

I purchased this for my Alaskan Husky Mix… She seems not to like seat belts…and has chewed through 3. I like the versatility of this one. I can clip to seat belt… or… Wrap round the head rest … She has tried to bite on it… but I think she realized… its not going anywhere.

Doesnât buckle
Doesnât actually buckle into most cars. I looped around back head rest posts, and it got the job done. My dog chewed his nylon seatbelt and this prevented him from chewing again.

Great for puppies!
Used this for a puppy who chews through leashes and wonât stay in the back seat of the car.I clipped the end without the buckle to her collar and then clipped the end with the buckle to the leash clip. Doesnât work well on a retractable leash, youâll need a normal one. Might not be great for very small dogs who would notice this chain on the leash. It weighs a pound or two.Fantastic idea to buckle them into the car.Chain is kinda short so it wonât work on a tall dog as a car restraint. Works great for my 35 lb pit-terrier mix though.

Oh, my, this is a wonderful product
My 43-lb Siberian Husky is super-active and has no respect for safety while driving. She jumps between the front and back seat, tries to get my attention — not a safe situation.I got the 33″ version, and it’s perfect for my dog. She can move around in the back seat, and she can put her head between the two front seats, but she cannot escape or chew through the metal chain. She cannot reach me or the gear shift (which she has done in the past — pretty scary).My Husky Girl has already accepted that this is a part of driving now, and she jumps in the back seat and waits for me to attach the clip to her harness. I feel so much safer with this simple little tool. Because it’s heavy quality and will be used only a few minutes a few times a week, I suspect it will last the rest of my life. I added a handle, which I bought from LupinPet.com — this allows me to use the chain as a full-fledged leash; it’s handy to take her to the Bark Park or the groomer with this instead of her walking leash.I give this car-leash my highest recommendation.

I was thinking this product would be cheap. When I received it is worth it. My dog is an escape artist and chewed his other seat belt completely apart. This one he knows I mean business.. I can’t use the cable because he chews through the wire. So happy for this choice I made.

Definitely chew proof but the seat belt clip doesn’t fit most cars
This product is definitely going to stand up to the most ardent of chewers. The links are strong and can probably hold up to a 200-250lb dog but the seat belt clip does not fit the holder in the car. It looks to be the same width and thickness but it just won’t go deep enough to lock securely. Ended up having to loop it around the headrest and use the other hook.

With a Staffy that could chew through the standard belt in a minute and chewed through more than I’d like to admit this chain is perfect. He now pays no attention to it and simply sits in the back enjoying the view.I would recommend the longer (85cm) one which gives a lot of movement even for a big dog and can easily be clipped to a shorter length to suit the car.
