Great product
My dog loves this!! I Make homemade dog food and extra supplementation is required for a balanced meal. This fits the bill and my dog was never hesitant to eat it unlike other supplements. Be careful and follow the dosage, remember it is per day amount not per meal. This container will last a long time because such a small amount is required. I am very happy with this and will continue to use it, I already bought another so I don’t run out. FOR ALL PET PARENTS WHO MAKE YOUR OWN DOG FOOD OR ADD REAL FOOD INTO THEIR KIBBLE, YOU MUST SUPPLEMENT WITH CALCIUM FOR THE INCREASED AMOUNT OF PHOSPHORUS CONTAINED IN MEAT. PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS FURTHER!

Made the Dog Worse
Well this was a fail. I saw the list of what it should help and my one dog with those issues we tried this on. Each day she got worse until we stopped it. Apparently, there is something in it she is allergic to.

Not as “complete” as I expected. Missing 1 of the 10 EAAs
Hello fellow dog parent,I’m assuming you’re obsessed with your dog like I am with mine. I’m completely obsessed with his health (more so than my own) so I’ve done a lot of research on dog foods, nutrition & supplements.I am not a vet so these are just my observations & opinion a based on what I have ‘learned’ when researching dog nutrition.Ready? Let’s go! :)The product name “Raw Support” implies that this supplement is intended solely for dogs on a raw diet. It’s not and I think that someone would pass it over based on the name alone thinking it is only for raw feeding.Because that’s exactly what caught my attention the second I saw this bc I DO feed raw. This supplement contains 9 out of 10 essential amino acids. Essential amino acids are not made naturally by the body (humans & animals) and must be provided in diet.It is missing Threonine. Amino acids work together like parts of a machine, in a step by step process & if one of the 10 is missing, the process stops. So is missing 1 of the 10 a big deal? that’s for you to decide I suppose. If you’re giving this supplement strictly for the EAA profile, then you may want to choose another. (Threonine is a building block of protein for muscle, ligament & nervous system support). It has taurine, which is one of the 10 EAAs. Many dogs on grain free diets are lacking/deficient in taurine. Taurine is ‘essential ‘ for a reason, heart health. But again, EAAs build protein in a step by step process so, with 1 of the 10 missing, is your dog actually going to process the taurine?Again, I’m not a vet so take that for what it is and do your own research.Looking at this as a vitamin & mineral formula only, and not as a supplier of EAAs, the minerals & vitamins in this are from a natural source (seaweed) & not synthetic. That’s a plus bc your body is able to process nutrients from a ‘food’ source more efficiently than anything synthetic (in most cases at least). You may want to look into the calcium/phosphorus ratio this contains. I won’t go into mad detail on that bc I’m no expert, just research on your own, especially if your dog has kidney issues. :)It contains Flaxseed meal. Flaxseed is only digested when it’s ground flaxseed or flaxseed meal (both are technically the same thing) so it’s good that it’s in the meal form.Flaxseed is generally considered hypo-allergenic & is supposed to help with dry skin & dull coat. it is commonly suggested to supplement w/ ground flax/flax meal for dogs w/ allergy issues.Flaxseed is a fiber & as such can cause gastric upset (diarrhea) so initially introducing this in small doses would be best. There are differences of opinions about flaxseed supplementation, for both humans and dogs, so again, research it yourself if need be.Seaweed is the best dietary source of iodine. Iodine provides thyroid gland support & this supplement is made from 19 different types of seaweed so if your dog has a thyroid condition or their breed has a propensity for thyroid conditions, then I think this would be a great choice.1st picture is of lot # & product expiration date (Aug 2025).I could prob pick this supplement apart even more but in the end, it would be best if you did that on your own bc only you know the issues your dog has, or that your trying to prevent them from having. And only you know what their diet consists of or doesn’t consist of.Do I think this is a good supplement? From a quality standpoint, sure. I would say so based on source of nutrients(seaweed harvested from virgin waters of Atlantic Canada) which you would technically find to be ‘clean’ & natural. However, I feel like it’s not as ‘complete ‘ as labeling implies so from that perspective, I don’t think this will be a good choice for many especially for cost.4 stars for sourcing2 stars bc it’s purpose & benefits seem to be limiting in who this formula would suit best.Average= I’d give it a 2.5 star rating if allowed.I hope my humble opinion helps you in some way.Thank you for caring enough about your dog to look into supplementation for them and thank you for reading all this too.

Dogs are not fans of it
My dogs must be the one offs, because they are not overly thrilled with this. The only way I can get them to eat it is if I mix it with wet cat food.

Less snotty Frenchie
I have a 1 yr old Frenchie thatâs always sniffling and snuffling and his poor little eyes look like he spent the weekend with Snoop Dogg. After a couple of weeks on this powder, I feel like heâs less snotty and sneezes less. His eyes are still super red. Iâd say it works pretty well. I do like how easy it is to use. It comes with its own scoop and I just put a little water in a cup with it and it dissolves quickly so I can dump it on his food. He doesnât seem to have any problem with the taste. He eats his food like normal. My only complaint is the dosage chart. I wish there was some kind of weight reference or breed examples as to what constitutes a small, medium or large dog. I have a 20 lb Frenchie and a 100 lb Doberman. I would assume my Doberman would be a large dog, but when it comes to dosage on many other products, heâs too heavy to even be listed. It just made it kind of hard to figure out if Iâm dosing my dog correctly. It works well enough if you have a pet suffering from allergies. Please hit the button if this info was helpful.

Our Cat Scarfs It Down. Then Again She Eats Fish Food Too.. And Seaweed.
We have been using the Solid Gold additive to our cat food for quite a while. I thought I would explore this.CONTAINERThis comes in a round container which is sealed up well. It is easy to access the contents.SCOOPThe scoop is a rounded scoop- not flat bottomed so you can not set it down at all.CONTENTSThis smells like a combination of seaweed and vitamins but it is not repulsive to me as a human, but you know how cats run by a different set of rules, right?DOES OUR CAT EAT IT?Our cat scarfs up any food I have put this in as long as she likes the food. We make our own raw food for the cat, so this goes along well with it. I only put in an eighth of a teaspoon.ANY BAD SIDE EFFECTS?Our cat has not had any bad issues taking this. No throwing up or hacking or anything. She continues to eat it.THE BOTTOM LINEOur cat likes seaweed, fish food and the raw food we make her. She likes this when we add it to her food.MY RATINGFIVE STARS. Our previous cat probably would not have touched this with a ten foot pole. IF it was not turkey, he would not eat it. This cat we have now is crazy about it. Her fur is soft and she is very healthy.
