My dog isn’t a fan…
As the owner of a 14-year-old mini poodle – one of the most notorious breeds for bad breath and dental problems – I’ve spent many years trying a myriad of products hoping for one that will actually do the job. And, of course, get my dog to actually accept. As anyone who’s ever had any canine experience can vouch, they don’t care how healthy the ingredients or ultimately beneficial the goal – if they don’t want it, they don’t want it.Unfortunately, such was the case here. Despite the claim of how easy it was to use this product – just take one strip, pop it into your pet’s mouth, and allow to dissolve – the issue of getting your dog on the same page was not addressed.Upon having the whole piece rejected, I tried again with a half piece – my pup is only 9 lbs, so maybe it was a bit much for him. Again, nope.I was rather unsure as how to rate this product, as it did seem it could be good if used correctly and regularly. It also lists natural ingredients, which is also always a plus, However, if the dog refuses to open their mouth long enough to let you insert the strip and give it a few seconds to melt, it’s rather useless to us.

Two Paws Up!
These dental strips harken back to the days of mouthwash flavored dissolving strips… but for your dog. I have two. One is really weird, and loves minty things. She was pretty much okay with the strip. The other is a grumpy old lady with really bad breath. I tried a half strip with her, because anything that goes in the mouth that she doesn’t approve of is answered by a volcano of foamy doggie saliva. Although I can’t say that she was overly amused with the strip, (I stuck it quickly to the roof of her mouth) I wasn’t greeting by the foamy flow. In reality, I totally don’t expect these to help her breath, I can’t say that the experience of giving it to her was horrible (for me, anyway). So, as far as the application goes, I am happy with these strips. I will see if they can combat any of the dog breath that is pervasive in my furry family.

Life saver for my dogs nasty breath
My dog has the worst breath. Super disgusting. Not tolerable. It’s actually awful. No past treatments have worked. He would refuse to drink the water treatments. Hes not a treat dog. He doesn’t like chew toys. This stuff is actually helpful AND easy to use. I just stick it to the roof of his mouth. No gagging. No refusal. No bad breath. Definite buy and must try!

Too brittle
I really want to like these strips but for two reasons I canât give them good ratings. The first reason being my dogs refuse to take them or let me put them in their mouth. The second reason is these strips are very brittle. You canât fold them. They just break off into many pieces. I got a different brand that allows me to fold into a small square which I can easily give them to my dogs.

Dog Refused
It’s hard to rate this item because I could not get my dog to take it or to allow me to put it in his mouth. The only way he would take it is with a piece of cheese, which defeats the purpose since it’s supposed to dissolve in his mouth and not be swallowed. I wanted to give one star for this. To be fair, if you can get this in your dog’s mouth, you might have good results. Who knows. For this reason, I gave an extra star for benefit of the doubt. If you want to give this a shot, hopefully you will have better luck than I did.

Finally, breath freshener that he won’t spit out
These strips smell like chicken and my dog was happy to eat it. That’s a relief because no matter how many mouthwashes and dental bones I got for him, it was always a waste of money and he would just spit it out or sniff and refuse to try. His breath smelled like a treat, pleasant but not minty fresh.
