The zipper pull fell off immediately after putting on the cover. Not memory foam.
-Overall Impression:The bed is okay overall, but there are some issues. First, it’s not a memory foam at all. It’s a standard thin eggshell foam that’s firm and not very thick at all. I’ve had items that were both standard foam egg-crate and memory foam egg-crate, and it does not at all have a soft memory foam feel, but a firm standard egg-crate foam feel. It’s a bit on the firm vs soft side. It’s not as soft as some foam or some dog beds nor is it very thick.The outer cover (there’s also an inner cover for waterproofing) is nice and a thick faux fur fibery style. However, an issue was immediately apparent when installing it over the mattress and inner cover already on the mattress. When I gently tried to zip it closed, the zipper pull fell off into my hand. I was not pulling too hard or roughly, it just came off in my hand. Without this you can’t fully zip or unzip the cover if the zipper falls off, you can’t pull the zipper without it. It was more than just the zipper pull it was the entire zipper that you zip. If it was just the pull you can tie something to it or grasp it and use it, it was the actual part that pulled the sewn in zipper edges together. I was able to sew it back on, but not everyone could do that and you shouldn’t have to on the first use of a new cover and bed.-Pros-what I liked and what worked well:The large size works well for giving dogs or pets plenty of room and space or for multiple smaller pets. It’s (the large size) a good size for my 20 pound Jack Russell mix dog. I wouldn’t go smaller for a dog that size as she likes to stretch out. Generally I think it’s best if you have the floor space and budget to go for a larger pet bed so they can play and sprawl out more.The faux fur cover material was soft and nice, even with the zipper issue. The inner liner is provided to go over the foam but under the outer cover as a waterproofing for the mattress. Neither the covers or foam had any unpleasant odor to them. The foam did expand some as expected after releasing it from the plastic. -Cons-what I didnât like and what didnât work well:The foam is not memory foam, it’s a much harder egg-crate foam that’s not very soft and not that thick. It’s a firmer dog bed vs softer and itâs not that thick or soft.The zipper (that pulls the sewn in zipper open and closed) literally fell off into my hand when I zipped it up for the first time. If you don’t know how or are unable to sew it back on yourself if this happens, it makes the outer cover unable to zip open or close and pretty much a loose cover that won’t zip. It happened before my dog even got to use it, right as I put it on the bed.-Features:Outer faux fur zippable cover that’s softInner waterproof zippable coverNon-slip undersideEgg-crate foam (it’s a firm not soft foam, not memory foam)Machine washable covers (inner and outer) (you can’t machine wash the inner foam part)-Tips & Thoughts:While the inner cover is waterproof, from my experience with other dog beds with this feature, it helps but is never completely waterproof if your pet has an accident. But it does help, just don’t expect any cover for waterproofing to be completely waterproof.

Soft, comfy, thick, and large…but a bit cattywampus
Like most dog beds nowadays, this comes shrink-wrapped, and when you open it, you can’t imagine how it can fluff up to anything even mildly comfortable. But it dang sure does. I left it to grow up into a big-boy dog bed overnight, and it did. It has the orthopedic mattress, and the cover is that really soft material that comes on all the calming dog beds. It also has a waterproof mattress cover in case your four-legged baby has an accident or your beer-drinking hubby passes out on it after Sunday night football and has an accident of his own. The only problem I found with it is that the cover is just a little bit too snug, and as a result, once I wedged that mattress in there, the bed now sits kinda cattywampus instead of lying flat. I tried putting something heavy on each corner to make it behave, but to no avail. It’s not a huge deal; it’s still a great bed and worth the cost, in my opinion. I bought the large, and my pseudo beagle loves it.

Definitely not âluxuriousâ and not memory foam – but is a low price for the size
I have purchased many dog beds over the years (no shortage of dog beds in my house!) If I had to describe this bed in a single word, it would be âdisappointingâ. I understand that the price is pretty low for a this size bed. But when the words âluxuriousâ, âmemory foamâ, and âhigh gradeâ are used, high expectations are created.The bed came in 3 separate parts: The egg crate foam (NOT memory foam), which was vacuum packed, and which puffed out to full size after just a few hours. The foam isnât very durable – I can rip it with my hands. The second part is the âbuilt-in waterproof coverâ – basically a vinyl case with a zipper sewn into one end. It crackles when the dog moves around on the bed, just like a plastic bed wetting sheet on a kidâs bed. The third part is the bed cover. The top is made of a very thin âfaux furâ material. Yes, it is very soft material, but also very thin – my dogsâ nails will rip it up in no time (they like to fluff the bed before laying down). I also have concerns on how well the very fine fur will hold on to the backing after multiple washes. The underside of the cover is a vinyl material with tiny nubbies that do not really prevent the bed from sliding on a hard surface floor. Overall, it is not a high quality bed, and it will not last a long time (with my dogs anyway). However, the price is lower than most dog beds this size.

Old dog loves this bed
This is a great bed! The old dog at my house just loves it. He no longer paces the bedroom floor at night trying to get comfortable which usually wakes me up. He is tucked away in the corner on his new bed. He has hip dysplasia and arthritis, so I know he has a hard time getting comfortable sometimes. No more. Now he kind of keeps me up but not from pacing but from snoring so loud. The only thing I think could possibly be better is the underneath side of the top covering. It could possibly be a little thicker. It may actually be more durable than I think but it seems kind of thin and if placed in one spot and left alone, would possibly be OK, but if you have to move the bed from one location to another, it may tear over time. The foam bed itself is very nice and so is the protective cover. The foam bed fits inside the top cover very snug. At first, I thought I had received the wrong top covering for the bed, but I finally got it in there. So maybe the top cover could use a little work but overall, it really is a great bed. It is also great that the furry part of the top cover does not shed at all. I recommend it to anyone wanting to make their furry friends happy. As a matter of fact, I bring it into the main living area during the daytime and he is piled up on it right now even though he’s not asleep and his recliner is in here. Yep, he loves the bed!

One of my dogs loves to sleep right next to me on the ledge in the camper so I had been looking for a bed to fit in that spot and one that she would like. She seems to love this bed and it looks super easy to clean when it gets dirty from camping. Itâs very soft and squishy
