Effective and Versatile!
As a pet owner dealing with challenges like keeping my furry friends off certain areas, the Mammoth Pet Products X-Mat Foldable Training Mat has been a game-changer.Firstly, the design is practical yet unobtrusive. The mat’s beige color blends seamlessly with most decor, and its foldable nature makes it easy to store or transport when not in use. The size (18-inch) is just right for placing on furniture, countertops, or anywhere you want to discourage pets from accessing. The effectiveness of the X-Mat is impressive. The textured surface is gentle yet firm enough to deter pets from jumping or walking on restricted areas without causing harm. It acts as a gentle reminder for my pets, and they quickly learned to avoid the areas where the mat is placed.Versatility is another key feature. Besides training pets, I’ve used it to protect plants, keep pets away from delicate items, or even as a temporary barrier. Its flexibility in application makes it a versatile tool for pet owners seeking practical solutions.Durability is not an issue with this mat. The materials used are sturdy and hold up well even with regular use. Cleaning is simple â a quick wipe-down or rinse with water keeps it clean and ready for continued use.Overall, the Mammoth Pet Products X-Mat Foldable Training Mat is an excellent investment for any pet owner looking to train their pets or protect specific areas. It’s effective, versatile, and built to last, making it a valuable addition to my pet care routine. Highly recommended!

My favorite pup torture device!
Against my better judgement, my wife decided to allow our cute little 10 week old puppy on all the furniture to snuggle and play. Well the cute little snuggle pup soon turned into a 65lb fur missile launching herself onto unsuspecting humans sitting on the couch at random intervals. In addition, she would use the ottomans as intermediate launch stations to gain extra lift and velocity. Not being a fan of the electrified systems out there (just seemed a little too medieval), I opted for what I call the spike strip approach. Got several of these mats & they work great! I put them on the ottomans as a test and placed the pup’s paw on them as a warning. She did not like that at all, but like all pups she has a short memory. One circus vault onto said ottoman was enough to cure her! No longer launching onto family and guests. The spikes are not sharp enough to do any damage to her paws, but they are not comfortable! I think it is the surprise factor more than the discomfort that worked in our case. There are definitely other ways to train your dog to stay off the furniture, but if you’ve been a bad human, these can help you get control back quickly.BTW – they fold for storage which is a nice plus.

Game changer
No more dogs on our chair. Granted our dogs are smart and when it’s not on the chair they will still hop on but works overall and a great deterrent. I went from cleaning my chairs weekly to once every few months.

Finally, we can sleep!
This is a very simple and effective solution. Just set it down, and the cats stay away. One of our cats had a horrible habit of scratching on the front door in the middle of the night. We use Soft Paws, so she did’t do any damage to the door or the paint, but the sound was loud enough to wake us up. We were so desperate that we started putting chairs in front of the door before going to bed. Eventually, we realized we needed to drape a blanket across the back of the chairs so that she couldn’t scrtatch from underneath. Then we started putting pillows in the seats so she couldn’t reach above the chair backs. The point of all this, in case you’re wondering, is that this cat was very persistant. Then a veterinarian friend told us about the X-Mat. Now instead of creating an elaborate blocade in front of the doors each night, we just put two X-Mats down side by side. They span the width of the door, and our cat stays away. We’ve been sleeping through the night ever since. If we have one complaint, it’s that the X-Mat sticks up too high to stay in place when we open the door. But moving the mats each night is a lot easier than any other solution we’ve found.

Good purchase – One problem solved, one to go
This mat does what it is supposed to — keeps most pets off of furniture.I actually bought this to put on the wall beside my front door to discourage my shepherd from jumping up and putting his paws on the wall. He thinks he’s doing his job; I think he’s a pain in the neck. The mat didn’t work so well to deter that behavior, because his weight is on his back legs, not his front paws..The X-mat DOES work great on my love seat to prevent the occasional jump up to look out the window. My boy does not like the texture and got the message pretty quickly that love seats are not for dogs. What the X-mat is not is a replacement for training, so we’ll be doing more of that.

Great mat
Every time we would leave, our dog would curl up on our leather chairs. No more! These mats work great as long as we remember to put them on the chairs. Seems a bit pricey for what they are, but worth it in the end.

Did not help
I have three (rotten) dogs that will not stay off my couch no matter how much I scold them. Thought I would try this mat. None of them are the least bit phased by it. They have no issue laying on it. They have no issue knocking it to the floor and stepping all over it. I, on the other hand, am reminded of my son’s Lego days when I step on it. It is a great idea though. It arrived fast and was as described. I could not, in good faith, give one star because I happen to have three dogs who apparently have tough paw pads.

It works!!!
I love everything about this product. The best part is you don’t need batterys, no annoying sound. So easy to use.On and off in seconds.I love everything about it. So happy I decided to get it. I have used the ones that make a beeping sound, this is so much better.

These do the job very well and have kept the dog off the sofa. He doesnât even try anymore. You need three for a three seater. The only downside is the price; theyâre quite expensive.

Great item, would highly recommend. I have since ordered more and canât wait for them to arrive. They may seem pricey but in comparison to having to recover or purchase a new sofa or armchair they are value for money. They really do the job they are suppose to. When not in use they can easily slide under the sofa out of sight.

Love this product! Wish I had bought earlier. Stops my dogs from jumping on top of the couch to look out the window and bark at everything that moves!
