Customers say
Customers praise the leash for its effectiveness in assisting pets with mobility issues. They say it works well to guide their dogs and provide proper hindquarter lift support without compressing them. Many are pleased with the comfort. However, some find the sizing too small, with the length too short. There are mixed opinions on the build quality and strap stability.

Awesome with one adjustment
My senior dog’s back legs are failing and his coordination is getting progressively worse due to a degenerative neurological condition. Most days, he cannot stand up without help or walk without falling. I’m 5’3″ and 110 lbs so lifting a 70+ lb dog has been a major challenge. Other harnesses put pressure on his stomach or were too bulky and uncomfortable for him to wear for very long. This harness has literally been the only thing that has actually worked. There is an issue with the straps loosening as others have mentioned. I added ponytail holders and it completely solved the problem. I used the regular Goody brand covered bands in the medium size. Since they’re black, they blend into the straps and they’re covered so they don’t pull my dog’s fur.I adjusted each strap to the right place then wrapped one ponytail holder 3 times just below the clasp to keep the strap from sliding. To keep the neoprene cushion in place under the legs, I added another ponytail holder to each of those as well.I use the harness to lift or support my dog countless times every day and nothing has moved! The harness and handles have remained sturdy and strong. Everything is lightweight and soft enough for my dog to wear. I have also washed it by hand and it is still in perfect shape. In spite of the fact that I needed to make that adjustment, I am still giving this harness 5 stars. It has single-handedly gotten both my dog and I through a very difficult and emotional time. For anyone in a similar situation, I highly recommend this harness. The medium Goody ponytail holders are inexpensive and available at any drugstore or dollar store. The vet cannot say for sure how much time my sweet dog has left. The harness has helped me get him to appointments and allowed him to retain some of his dignity. Being able to take the occasional slow walk when he’s having a good day has kept some fun in his life and given him something to look forward to. At this point, none of that would be possible without this harness.

Your mileage may vary…
Might work for your dog, didn’t work for mine. Hoped it would help us get him up (weak hips) but he couldn’t get to his feet with this. 🙁

Works great
This product is the perfect product for assisting pets with mobility issues. We personally like the extra strap/leash which helps relieve stress on the back from bending over. Two flaws: the straps tend to come loose on their own and the sizing is a bit small. We got a medium and the front part is loose to its max and snug on our friend. The back part tends to come loose over time and trips up our friend when he walks independently. Overall great product for what we need!

Making life easier for both of us.
After deliberating between this product and a similar one from another brand, we decided to purchase the Total Pet Health Lift and Go Dog Lead, X-Large, in Red. It arrived exactly as ordered, in the red X-Large size. The first issue we encountered is one that many people have pointed out: the leads in the back tend to fall off quite easily. To address this, I attempted to thread it through the front straps that encircle her chest. This adjustment effectively resolved the problem of it slipping off from the back, sparing me the effort of constantly repositioning it every time she needed to stand up. This approach seemed somewhat counterintuitive, but threading the lead through the front straps proved to be a perfect solution. Now, I can assist her in standing up, and she remains comfortable, often rolling onto her back with a wagging tail, displaying her contentment.I’d like to express my gratitude for creating this product. If there were a means to attach it securely to the front straps and prevent it from slipping, it would be even more ideal. Once again, thank you for developing this helpful tool.

Good for smaller dogs
This harness is a great idea and almost worked well, but as my 45 lb dog had a serious herniated disc and needed to be lifted front and hind legs at the same time. The harness strap was unstable, especially with the hind harness. It was unstable and hard to put on and keep on. The straps under the back legs need more protection.

Sizing in Medium Description Not Accurate
My dog has a 31″ chest and is 60 pounds. I ordered the medium based on the description:Medium fits chest 22″â37″Medium holds 25â85 lbsSeemed like it would be a better fit than the large. But it arrived and is too small. I measured the chest part of the harness and it’s only 27″ full extended.I have had a hard time finding a two-part lift harness with four buckles up front so she doesn’t have to step into it. Since this one has that, I’m going to order a large and see if it works, even though I’m wary about the quality of this – the buckles seem pretty flimsy. Will get a better idea when I can get it on her.Just be aware that the medium will not fit a chest larger than 27″ (and that would be snug).

Just donât fit right.
I have ordered 2 of these. I measured my 10 year old Boxer and ordered a medium. The back part fit OK but the straps wouldnât stay secure. The front part was way too small. I sent it back and ordered a large. Both parts fit, after a lot of adjustment. The back straps wouldnât stay secure. I gave up! Iâll make my own harness for him.
