Great for slowing down my cat from eating too fast and then running to eat his brotherâs food, from his dish. Works best if you spray the dish, when done, with kitchen sprayer, for cleaning.

Works Better than Expected
Wow! Every since getting this lick mat, I canât believe I got one sooner. My young, crazy cat loves to wait until sheâs âdyingâ of hunger (she lies) and runs over to eat. She used to gobble up her meal and then immediately throw up after from eating so fast! Not anymore. My final straw was her barfing all over the window. She hasnât thrown up once since getting this mat a couple months ago. Simple to use, easy to clean. Great quality silicone. Slip resistant, but not a suction cup base. Love this purchase!

Mixed feelings.
I bought this pair for my Little Lord Scarf and Barf in mind, and they seem to perform reasonably well. However, they’re a royal pain to clean. (They’re not advertised as dishwasher safe, but I imagine that if you omit the final drying cycle, they’ll be fine.) They seem to function best with paté in mind. Unfortunately my cat isn’t thrilled about trying to dig out food from the tiny quadrants in Casper, and does better with the semicircular scales of Felix. (Be forewarned that you have to identify the two by patterns, not by colors: for instance, my Casper is green, and I have a neighbor with an orange Casper.) So they may be the perfect thing for your cat, but for mine they’re not much of a step up from spreading out wet food over a salad plate.

These work great
I have three cats. One is not highly food motivated and eats very slowly. One eats normal. And one gobbles down everything in sight like she just stepped out of the desert after being stranded for a week. She will rush through her plate so she can try and steal from her slower older sister and we couldn’t figure out how to slower her down. The other normal eater will not rush, but if she finishes first she will also go nosing around her older sister to see if she can get a bit more.We got these to try and solve the issue. The little gavone gets the green one, with the more intricate designs, and it takes her more than twice as long to eat as it does with a regular bowl. The one who eats normally uses the orange fish dish, which has less intricate designs. It slows her down a bit too. The older cat can now finish at her leisure and walk off to groom her whiskers before the other two are done.They’re cute, look pretty durable, and are very easy to clean.

Better Designs Possible
I am confident that Lickimat will eventually make a good lick mat for cats, and this one is half way there. It cleans easily, does not retain stains from food (as a different brand did), it slows down kitty’s eating enough so that she does not scarf and barf…. BUT… It needs better edges. My cat always pushes chunks of her wet food onto the floor as she licks the mat. Also, it is a little too floppy. I put cat food on it, and as I bring it to her feeding spot, if I’m not holding it just right, it flops downward towards the floor, spilling the food. It is SO CLOSE to being well made that it is frustrating Lickimat didn’t go the extra step to fix those issues.

Helps my cat’s eating problem
I tried a slow eating bowl, but the stiff ridges were too high for my cat’s muzzle to reach the food and were painful to her tongue . Then I got this, and the ridges are low enough for her to reach, eat the morsels, and lick up all the gravy. It hasn’t totally stopped her regurgitation, but now it is once or twice a week instead of every morning. I find it works for both dry food and wet food–if I spread it out between ridges and don’t mound it up on top. At first I thought cleaning between the ridges was hard, but I’ve found an easy trick! Soak it in water for several minutes, then use a vegetable scrub brush over it, and the leftovers stuck against the base of the ridges come right off. (Others have said their cats chewed up the soft, flexible material, but my cat doesn’t chew it at all and likes the softness against her tongue and lips.)

This product works great. I feed my cat wet food on the mat and it slows her eating down. No more throwing up. I wash it off right after the cat eats and itâs really easy to clean.

I absolutely love these lick mats. I got them for my first cat as a kitten for when he got neutered. Knowing he wouldn’t be able to lick himself for a week but he could still get the sense of it with a treat or food and a lick mat.I then started using the mats with my new kitten who eats faster that my cat. I love that they are easy to use and easy to clean. In the summer, I’ll mix a churu with some water, pour it into the lick mat and freeze it so my cats have a cool treat on a hot day. I highly recommend especially for indoor cat owners!

Solo con este bendito plato logramos que nuestro gato que come como si no hubiera comido en dÃas, se tarde un poco más en comer su alimento húmedo (igual deja limpio este plato, no imposibilita la alimentación) y le de chance al otro de acabarse el suyo en plato regular (a velocidad de gato normal).Funciona mejor con alimento tipo paté, pues el de trozos no se mete bien en las cuencas, ya que no son muy profundas, pero igual ayuda a esparcir el alimento.Lo lavamos con cepillo, agua y jabón de platos, y ha durado ya bastante y sigue como nuevo.

I noticed these for dogs first and was very happy to see they had them for cats. This has definitely slowed down my hungry kittyâs eating. He used to chow down so fast that heâd get hiccups. Itâs much better now. I mainly use the green one because itâs easier to spread wet food on it. The blue seems it would be easier for kibbles.

Ho un gatto esotico con il muso schiacciato da una portiera ed è faticoso trovare delle ciotole adatte. Questa era piatta e in gomma e speravo mi evitasse lo spargimento di croccantini per casa. L’ho comprata anche perché l’idea alla base è davvero interessante ma, il mio gatto non era dello stesso parere. Forse non ha apprezzato il materiale gommoso e a dire il vero neanche io perché non è lavabile in lavastoviglie. Peccato davvero perché avevo alte aspettative.
