Love this dog coat!
This is the best dog coat ever! My dog had a coat that had Velcro straps on his neck and chest. Sometimes, when he went through deep snow, the straps would come undone. I got him a coat with snaps to replace it. It stayed closed, but it was sort of awkward to get to the snaps down his chest. This coat has a zipper down the back, and let me tell you, it’s the greatest thing since sliced bread! It’s so quick and easy to get on! No more struggling to get his second arm through the the arm hole. I just lay the coat down on the floor and he steps into the arm holes. I lift the coat up and around him and zip it up. There are built in harness loops for you to hook a leash onto. I don’t know how strong they are, because I haven’t used them for that purpose. I use the latch that brings the “harness” together to hold the coat in place when I pull the coat up and around my dog’s body. Then, my hands are free to easily zip him up. The coat is nice and thick and warm. It is a soft fleece material on the inside, and a water repellent fabric on the outside. It comes up around my dog’s neck like a turtleneck, and goes all the way to his tail. His entire chest is covered unlike some coats, but it doesn’t go so far that it gets in the way of my boy getting things done (if you know what I mean). We’ve had some very cold and snowy weather, and this coat has kept my dog warm and dry. When he comes inside on really cold days, the outside of the coat will feel cold to the touch, but inside it’s toasty warm. It’s amazing! I love this coat, and my dog seems to like wearing it, too. It fits him well. It has elastic gathers across the chest, so it is flexible enough for him to run around and play comfortably. There is a reflective stripe around the neck for safety. As for the built in harness, I cannot honestly say how secure it is. I just use it when I get my dog into the coat. We have invisible fencing, so he’s just running around on his own without a leash. The loops for the harness are just sewn onto the coat, so if you have a strong puller, this might not work for your dog. I did order this coat and a similar one from another company at the same time. The prices were similar. The other coat had an actual harness attached that went all the way around the coat. I kept this coat because it was thicker, soft on the inside, and was flexible enough that my dog could do more than just walk stiff legged while wearing it. It’s the perfect coat for my dog. I would also like to add that there were lots of sizes to choose from when I ordered it. I find that a lot of places tend to cater to small dogs, and that their XL doesn’t fit a large dog. My 57 lb dog was too big for a lot of other sellers. The sizing chart was easy to use, and I got it right on the first try. I just can’t say enough about how happy I am that I ordered this coat! Oh…my boy looks great in it, too!

Fits Small
A four only because of the sizing chart. I’d give it a 4.5 if possible. This is a nice quality coat. I like it but the size is wrong. I have a 23 pound Pembroke Welsh Corgi with a 21 inch chest. I ordered a medium as the chart recommends. It was too small in the chest and front legs. She was in a cocoon and would not move. I returned it and ordered a large. This fit much better and she could move freely. Plenty of room in the chest and front legs. It came right down to her tail. Perfect.I like the elastic around the front legs. The neck comes up to just behind the ears. It can be folded back if your dog feels to constrained or they don’t need a tight wrap. I like the harness type clip on the back as well but, if zipped all the way up, your collar loop is not accessible under the coat. If you want to use your collar, unzip it back a little until you have access. The zipper seems strong and will take getting used to at the bottom start of the zipper. It’s so much better than snaps underneath. That being said, It is not an adjustable fit other than it being a bit stretchy. It is what it is. It doesn’t have the advantage of adjustable Velcro closings. Still, it fits my corgi well. The reflector straps are wide and a very visible in the dark..

Easy to put on
I absolutely love this jacket for my gsp!!! It is a bit tight (I ordered according to her measurements) so it takes a little effort for her to itch her back end. Other than that though, I couldn’t be happier. The material inside is very warm and soft, the clip on the back makes it so much easier to zip up, and I love that the neck is adjustable (didn’t have it tightened in photos). Definitely do the measurements before ordering though, my guess on her size was completely wrong, so I’m very thankful I took the time to measure her! Highly highly recommend for anyone looking for a nice, warm, cute dog jacket!

Love this coat. The features I love are: 1.jacket zippers up the back.2.bright colour with reflective strip.3.excellent quality and durable.4.fit French bulldogs.5.material has stretch.6.warm enough for our polar vortex winters.Our dog is a male Frenchie that weighs 25lbs.We ordered a size large to accommodate for our dog’s large chest.

Overall this jacket is great but here are the pros and cons.Pros:Fits great, at first as i was putting it on her it seemed to small but once it was on i was able to slide my hand in and feel around…. its warm, looks great, and my dog likes it she has no issues letting me put it on her.CONS:The sizing in the chart. My dog is usually a large size. But when i took the measurements of my dog i had to rely on the CHEST GIRTH. Luckily for me that was the right choice. Relying on the Neck or length would have been a big mistake. So i much better explained sizing chart would have been helpful to those who are unsure what to do when the size numbers arent the same as the chart.The jacket has the zipper on the back side. This causes the zipper to undo. Luckily the buckle with the built in leash loops stops the zipper from completely unzipping. Would have been nice if the had a snap of some sort to lock the zipper.

I had to return it because the sizing was off, but it was a great product and easy to put on. Size up…
