THE BEST BED, especially for a senior dog!
I have a beautiful, very intelligent bichon frise/miniature poodle mix dog. She has been very active all of her life. She is 12.5 years old now and recently she stopped running up and down the stairs in my apartment building when I take her out. I carry her in my arms when there are stairs. She also can’t jump on my mattress (without the box spring) like she used to, to sleep with me. She tries but she can’t. I did A LOT of research to get THE BEST bed for my dog. I read that an orthopedic egg crate foam dog bed is the best for senior dogs. Thank God I found this AMAZING product!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH for this VERY high quality product and VERY reasonable price!!! Every day I am VERY HAPPY my dog sleeps on a VERY comfortable bed and her older bones are safe when she is jumping from the bed that is only 4 inches high (I picked the tallest bed for her. Some beds were 3 inches high. But 4 inches tall beds are better, because I don’t want her to be too close to the floor when she sleeps or rests, especially when it is cold outside or when there is an air conditioner working.) I bought my dog an extra-large bed (42X30X4), even though she is a miniature poodle/bichon frise mix. I am VERY HAPPY I made that choice of the size of her bed. She is VERY HAPPY with her new bed and rests VERY WELL on it every day!!! One thing I need to tell pet owners is this: when you receive this pet mattress, because of the shipping and packaging of this mattress (which is understandable), not all parts of the egg crate foam surface will be positioned how they are supposed to be when you first receive it. Some parts of the mattress where flat, instead of triangular, looking up, same level height everywhere. What I did was this: I CAREFULLY pulled the material of the mattress up which was flat/not high enough, then the mattress ended up without any flat areas and became uniform, with all egg crates positioned at the same level. Our dogs are our best friends, the most loyal, the most caring, the most appreciative. Please get them this bed and please make it XL or XXL, no matter what your dog’s size is, so they are comfortable. I treat my dog like a Queen because of the way she treats me at all times.

Super soft, moisture barrier, and simple padding – all good things.
What we’ve found in dog beds (at least for our two), is that simple is probably for the best. They love eating the stuffing out of toys and their old beds (and leaving a nice mess for us later, either what they haven’t eaten, or what they’ve thrown up hours later). This bed has no stuffing (already a plus), and the cover is pretty tough. I would not say it’s chew proof though, our dogs are very much power chewers (they chew on our deck and through the toughest of toys, I don’t expect the bedding to hold up with that kind of chewing power). HOWEVER, while it may not be able to hold up to something it wasn’t designed for, it is mitigated by our dogs love of the softness and comfort that comes from the simplicity and that they have decided that these beds are not ones to chew on (go figure).The only downside is the soft top looses a lot of the floof (whether just handling or washing). I’d suggest taking a lint roller to it after washing. Otherwise, it generally washes pretty well despite that issue.The bed is also a perfect tight fit in a 42″ kennel. I think the tightness helps keep the dogs from grabbing an edge to gnaw on.If it helps, my dogs will immediately lay on them outside of their kennel if I have pulled them out to be washed or to clean their kennel. They know their comfort!

Great for big dog comfort in RV’s
I bought these to use in our 5th wheel when we travel. I ordered 2 different sizes for my 85lb standard and 115lb Gladiator Doberman’s. Both girls favored the larger bed (spoiled dogs), so I bought another extra large bed while we were on vacation to use the next time we go out.The beds I have in the house would have taken up to much space in our 30 foot 5th wheel, but these were a perfect size to accommodate the dogs while still giving us plenty of room to walk around them.These beds are really light weight and fit nicely into the closet when not in use. They are soft and fortunately waterproof as my smaller Dobie was bitten by a Rattlesnake a week before our trip and the medications she was taking to recover were causing her to be incontinent. – we also covered beds with pee pads until she recovered, but sometimes she pulled them off so washing cover was important. My Dobies do not chew their beds or toys up ( I know, wierd), so I can’t say how well these beds would hold up to chewers, but my daughter, who has a Boxador (Boxer/Lab) and a Coon Hound said it wouldn’t last a day in her house. – Her Coon Hound is determined to destroy, so no bed survives in that house.I highly recommend these beds! The price is great and my picky dogs like them. They are soft, easy to wash, light weight and easy to store when not in use.

POODLE IN LOVE
I opened the bed as soon as it came. The cover was easy to put on. It is well made aa true bargain if you have ever looked for big dog beds. As soon as I put it in the floormy standard poodle went to sit down. He doesn’t want to move.

I liked the quality for the price of the dog bed. I have washed it and dried it on hot settings without any problems. The zipper unzips 2 sides, making it easy to replace the eggcrate piece back in to position. My dog loves the furry surface. I have bought this twice, one for each dog.
