Great coat but sizing is tricky.
I have an 11# Shihtzu and I first got him the small which fit him perfectly except it was way too short. It looked like a crop top on him. So I ordered the small but it was way to big. There is a big difference in the xsmall and the small. I wanted to keep the coat because itâs warm without being bulky and easy to put on and off.. I sew so I took a couple tucks in it and it now fits perfectly and is long enough. Great coat and excellent quality.

What more can you ask for a bright color, one can easily attach a leash to due to the easy placement of the zipper? Its easy to put on the dog plus it covers her full length and leaves room for comfort! Thanks

Between sizes
Small next to a medium. A big jump! I love the styling and quality of the Kurgo jackets and have happily used one for the last couple of winters and a small fit my dog well. She has developed a fatty tumor on her abdomen that we’ve tried to have removed but it just comes back even bigger. The tumor was making the small very snug so I thought I would size up. The medium is absolutely huge on her. Looking at the measurements on the item they are accurate so I could have saved myself some hassle if I had looked more carefully. I wish they had additional sizes between the ones the offer because I really like the brand. I will have to search for another jacket that works with a harness that is easy to get off and on.

Nicely designed
I just received this dog coat and was impressed with the design. We went for a walk today and it performed well.First, the range of adjustment was great. I was able to quickly fit this to my long but narrow-chested dog.I was really impressed that someone was smart enough to make the harness and leash access slot on the top of the coat perfectly. The opening on the top is long and wide enough to accommodate the handle on my dogâs harness but smartly fitted with top and bottom pull tabs so I can zip up the opening to the perfect closed position that works for the harness.This coat is not at all bulky and seems warm enough for moderately cold days. I ordered the sweater (sold separately) that will go underneath the coat for colder days.Nice work.

Great Lightweight Jacket
2024 Update: I sent my foster dog, Tyrionâs coat with him to his new family and have bought more for my dogs. Love these coats for fall, warmer winter & cool spring days. They hold up extremely well. In the video, Jack, the black bulldog (55 lbs.) is wearing a M, Oreo, black & white Pittie (72 lbs.) is wearing a L and GiGi, my 100 lb. Golden is wearing an XL. All three coats for beautifully. Oreoâs cost is about 3 years old – no problems yet.I bought this for my foster dog, Tyrion. Iâm guessing this was his first experience ever putting on any doggie clothes as he was taken aback and didnât know what to think. I bought the medium. Heâs 54 lbs. and it fits well. Heâs probably at the top of the weight limit for the medium. There isnât any stretch in the coat, but the Velcro allows adjustability and a custom fit to each dog. Itâs not a heavy coat, but is good for a quick trip in the backyard for potty. Iâd double it up with a sweater for a longer walk in colder temps. I have this in Watercolor for Oreo, my 72 lb. Pittie & the large fits her perfectly in the sweater style and in this. Kurgo is a great brand.

Great quality. Very durable
Itâs very good quality and very durable. The Velcro seems sturdy and you have a lot of room for adjustments. My girl is in between a small and medium. I opted for a medium. Itâs a little big but not terrible. She will have enough coverage to keep her dry. She is 35 lbs and has a chest girth of 25 inches. The reflective material works well. Upon putting it on, I could already tell it was holding her heat in. The zippers are durable feeling and she seems comfortable. I would definitely recommend as the value is great for the amazing quality.

Good enough to buy twice
But not so good that I received it twice. I’m still waiting on my order for the second iteration of this same jacket that I placed many moons ago. I hear the train tracks of Los Angeles are littered with looted containers full of cargo that is bound to be (at least in part) packaged and shipped by these shamashon. Oh my dear shamashon that I bought books and cds from when I was a teenager…now a mere peddler of trinkets. How things fall apart, how they wear and tear before their time (exasperated emoji). Anyways, this one item was very cool, lightweight, big velcro patches that make the vest nice and snug, but not too snug. My short haired pit shivers quickly and seemed to get a little shot in the arm about being bound and clothed, but I wouldn’t say the jacket is water resistant exactly. Somewhere between that and moisture wicking is where I would place this item. It worked well for an outing in cooler climates like Yosemite and surrounding areas in the winter for instance (see photos). But there’s this zipper between the dog’s shoulder blades that allows for a leash to come through, yeah it ought to be protected by something smooth. Because you know that some larger dogs are like small bears, the way they rub themselves on rough surfaces. That zipper was toast within a few times of me leaving him outside and alone with it on, and here I was thinking he liked that jacket! And then the stretch factor is nil, and before long the jacket tore right wear the chest plate meets the collar. So all in all we’re spending more than ever trying new stuff, then replacing it, then starting over at square one again and trying something new. Sound about right?

Mi perro ya no tiene el tipillo de antes (9 años) ni tampoco el pelo tan tupido, y tiene tripa. De cuello tiene 57 cm, 82 de pecho y 63 de espalda. Hemos cogido la talla L y le va bien. En la zona centro los amaneceres son muy frÃos en invierno (hoy a las 8,30 0º), y es cuando le doy el paseo largo. Se nota que le protege y da calor porque a la vuelta, al quitárselo estaba calentito por dentro. Buena compra.

We got a size L for our saluki whippet mix and it fits her well. It’s easy to put on and take off, though she was a bit worried about the loud sound of the velcro. If you have a long- haired dog, I could imagine that the velcro might snag in the hair.We like the purple colour and the reflective stripe. It’s a medium thickness, not too thick but heels ger warm enough at low temperatures. We’ve not tested it in proper rain but it held up well during a light shower.
